I’m the founder of Social Recipe, a freelance marketing and social media business that helps small businesses grow with clear, creative, and strategic content. I work with a range of clients across industries, including hospitality, SEO, safety services, and sports coaching, and tailor support to their goals, from content strategy and social media management to paid advertising and brand development.

Alongside Social Recipe, I also work full-time as a Marketing Manager, leading marketing for three businesses:

I’m confident using tools like Canva, Mailchimp, Jotform, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office to plan and deliver campaigns across digital and offline channels.

I’m also passionate about building strong internal cultures, regularly organising events and partnerships that support team connection and company values. I hold a 2:1 in Marketing Communications and Advertising from Sheffield Hallam University (2021), which gave me a solid foundation in strategy, creativity, and communication.

The first day of the year was five days ago, but does anyone else feel like today is the real start of the year? It is the first Monday back fully in the office, which makes it feel a bit more official.

I started the day with an orange & ginger shot and a brew; there is no way I am giving up my morning tea.

This year is going to be a super busy one!! I will be continuing to lead the marketing for hap Solutions Group, Hive 365 and Cactus Payroll, alongside working on my own business, Social Recipe - Marketing.

I am properly back in the swing of things today with a full 8-4, a client meeting at 4:30 pm, and then finishing the day with admin and Pilates to wind down.

It’s our favourite day of the month - networking day!

This morning we kicked off with an hour of informal networking before heading into the conference room at Hive 365 to introduce our businesses and set SMART goals for the year.

 Everyone wrote down their goals, sealed them in envelopes, and at the end of the year we’ll open them to see how far we’ve come.

I recently had the pleasure of creating content for Blue Rons, a stunning holiday let in New Mills. I also filmed and edited six scroll-stopping social media videos to help them stand out online.

Blue Rons has so much to offer, it sleeps 14, has its own hot tub, a games room and sits in a beautiful Derbyshire location. So it was important to showcase its unique selling points clearly.

At Social Recipe - Marketing, I don’t just go in and shoot content. I genuinely care about helping small businesses grow, even on one-off projects. That means offering tailored advice, sharing ideas and giving them the tools to keep showing up confidently on social media even after the content is delivered.

This is how you build an online community!!

Social media isn’t just about posting content; it’s about building real connections and creating moments that actually make people feel something. 

When brands use their platforms to give back and reward the people who already genuinely care, it doesn’t feel manufactured or forced, and it's a win-win.

👏Philadelphia Eagles

This video from the Philadelphia Eagles is a *prime* example of one of my favorite internet trends of all time.

It's simple: a person behind the camera walks around holding VIP tickets until a fan looks, stops, and grabs them. This time, the Eagles happened to surprise the man behind the Deaf Philadelphia Eagles Fans Facebook page.

We sometimes forget how much influence we have working in social. A small investment from this brand turned into a moment these fans will always remember (and got millions of views).

If you have the power to reward your audience — do it.
If you have the power to make someone’s day — do it.

These videos don’t just go viral because they’re trendy. They go viral because they’re heartwarming, organic, and REAL!!!!!!!!!! Good for the fans and good for the brand. Everyone wins.
