In 2025 I didn't share as much online.

I needed to separate myself from my old work routine to build something completely new for our firm. (more on that soon)

Lucas DiPietrantonio and I founded Darkroom 9 years ago. We're now 100+ employees managing 100+ clients at any given time, across 6 service divisions. 

We see a lot, we do a lot.

By next year, Darkroom will be a truly hybrid company: software <> services. All vertically integrated.

Here's what we're doubling down on this year:

1. NYC in-person headquarters. 
New York feels energized right now. Engineering talent is flooding in and software companies are refocusing here. It's always been the hub for consumer brands and advertising. It's fast, it's creative, it's fun. Our core leadership team will be here in person, while maintaining our global presence.

2. Vertically integrated software. 
Agencies are actually best positioned to build AI agents. We have: the context required for end-to-end work, and can run proper evaluations on agent outputs. The market demand for agents that actually work is there (you wouldn't believe how many pitch decks I've seen from founders who want to "automate growth marketing"). The problem is most agencies have limited capital, no engineering talent, and no experience in software period.

3. Full spectrum client profiles. 
We're continuing to work with startups and growing 8-figure brands, while increasingly taking on 9-figure enterprise clients. We want exposure to even more company profiles and growth stages. The goal is to help mid-market brands build the bridges they need to become enterprise-scale companies.

4. Continue omni-channel expertise. 
We're going deeper into retail media, out-of-home, and anywhere brands can buy media space. When clients need to reach new audiences or create new distribution channels, we'll be more equipped to serve them across every touchpoint. 

5. Document everything.
Content, content, content. Period.
