There's a single choice that I make once a year for my solo business that no one talks about: 

Really quickly, let's look at the average person who works a 9-5 job in any industry. 

They move to their job. A city where their office is. Or where their employer wants them to work. 

That's the reality. 

Now look at someone like me. 

I run my own business. Everything is online. 

Yep, we can 100% do in-person events, pop-up conventions, community meet-ups, all of it. 

But the one decision I have to make every year is: where should I live next? 

I'm 24. 

Apartment living is my vibe right now. 

1. I lived in Houston, TX.
2. I completed college in Dallas, TX. 
3. I moved to Nashville, TN. 

And of course, I now make a new decision. It's not just about "where" you live as a business owner. 

It's more like:

• What are the people like?
• Which time zone will I be working in? 
• What's the vibe like for filming content? 
• Can I see myself running my business here? 

All questions that I answer every single year at this point by the time the new year comes around. 

So, to all my fellow entrepreneurs out there building their businesses, I know the feeling.

Posting content will NOT work if you give up after the first few weeks. 

Here's what I do for entrepreneurs (like you):

Here's my storytelling formula that actually gets people to read your LinkedIn posts👇🏻

Storytelling ≠ sharing random life updates.

If you want to actually get people to read your posts, this 3-part structure hooks your audience:

Part 1) Before 

Show who you were or what you struggled with.

Don't make this perfect. 
Don't sound too polished.

Nobody will relate to it. 

Don't try to sound like you have everything "figured out". I promise you that won't help. 

Part 2) Journey: 

This is the obstacle that changed everything. 

What moment changed your perspective?
What did you figure out that most haven't yet?

I do this in all of my content. 

It's a non-negotiable. 

Part 3) After

This is the result, lesson, and/or outcome. 

The goal here is pretty simple:

Get people to think:

"If they figured it out, maybe I can too."

Storytelling with zero structure is a no-go.

Random stories = no results. 
Transformation = the easiest way to sell. 

This isn't Instagram where posting about your morning coffee will go viral. 

I mean maybe if you're lucky...

Here are 5 unofficial LinkedIn rules that should be real LinkedIn rules 👇🏻

1. Stop relying on copying other people.

Copying people is no different than cheating on your tests back in school.

Stop copying people. You can't preach "build your personal brand" and then copy someone else's.

I see this too often now, so I'm posting about it.

2. Why are you still using hashtags?

Hashtags have already been debunked and don't do anything helpful for your content.

They honestly just look bad.

Have you ever searched for a topic using hashtags? Probably not. Don't use them.

3. Stop ignoring your audience...

This one is bad. And it happens way too often.

Your content is used to nurture. To build an audience. To build your personal brand.

When people comment on your posts, reply to them. Have a convo. Don't leave them hanging!

4. Enough with the AI comments.

Look, I'm all for a commenting strategy.

But 50-100 comments a day using AI is so bad. This is next-level destroying your trust.

Pretty soon, you'll see a major negative impact.

Don't do it.

5. Don't generate AI garbage for your audience.

Posting consistently on LinkedIn will be a massive part of your growth journey.

But posting just to post isn't worth it, especially if you're using AI to create slop.

Take 5 minutes to actually write from your brain.

Enough with the AI slop.

I spoke with a creator in my program who wasn't 100% sure how to comment properly on LinkedIn.

So here's what I told him:

Writing public comments on public content seems easy, but most people don't know where to start.

Here's how I see it:

1. You reply to people in your space.
2. You find people who share a similar ICP.
3. You support each other and build a friendship.

And of course, make it intentional.

If you're writing comments because you think it's the ONLY way to grow, that's the wrong reason. 

Growth is part of the process. 
Being intentional IS the process. 

If you gradually comment more and more in the space, people will find you more relevant. 

If you don't reply to others, you are less likely to be heard.

Now the question I got:

1. "What type of comments do I make?"
2. "Where do I even start?"

Here's what I'd do if you want to get ahead:

1. What type of comments should you make?

Have an everyday conversation with people!

I have a list of creators I engage with daily. 

Some days I write 10 comments...
Some days are 50+ comments. 

There isn't a specific number. 

I just add my perspective to the posts I see on my feed (and in my list). 

Intentional. 
My opinion.
My perspective. 

To build a better relationship with the author.

2. Where do I even start?

Simple: 

Create a list of 10 people in your space. 

Ideally, people with a similar target audience post consistently and have an active audience.

Show up as much as possible. 

Be that person who's always on the timeline responding to people. 

Your replies might not be perfect at first, and that's okay. But do NOT use AI for your comments. 

Just have a normal conversation, like you're talking (in-person) to the author of that post.

1. Post daily content with the problems you solve. 
2. Engage (comment) with people in your space.
3. DM your ICP and have a real convo with them. 

I do this every day. 

And I do it intentionally. 

Listen to this or not, but it's the reason why thousands of other creators and I are seeing growth on this platform (even while impressions are down).

P.S. Don't just take my word for it. Just look at the top creators on LinkedIn. You'll see :)

Here’s what I’d focus on if I wanted more engagement on LinkedIn next week:

Engagement is down across the platform.

We're all seeing the same thing. 

Here's what you're going to do about it:

1. Post wayyy more often. 

If you actually want to grow (like a lot), you'll post at least 4x / week minimum. 

Daily is best. 

We're all busy, I get it. 

So SCHEDULE your content. If you want to achieve your big goals, consistency is super crucial. 

I know you’re busy, that’s what scheduling is for. Big goals need big consistency.

2. Lead all posts with strong hooks

This is a non-negotiable. 

The first lines of your content matter more than the rest of the post. 

People will not stop to read your "5 best tips" if you don't give them a reason to stop scrolling. 

3. Re-use what is already working!

Go through your content from the past 30, 60, 90, and 365 days on LinkedIn. 

Re-purpose your best stuff. 

Turn videos into carousels. 
Turn carousels into images. 
Turn images into carousels. 

Double down on what works. 

This doesn't mean you're lazy; it just means that you're working smarter than everyone else. 

4. Comment before and after you post

If you post at 7:00 AM, comment 15-20x on other creators in your circle (20 min before/after).

The goal is to show up at EVERY angle you have available to you... Not only posting your own stuff.

5. Write for one specific person

Your posts should target a specific person. 

They should FEEL the relatability. 
They should UNDERSTAND the feeling. 

If there is no emotion in your content, it won't hit as hard, making it difficult to get your point across. 

I do this every day. Every week. 

Without hesitation. 

You can too. 

This is what I do every week. And it works, even when LinkedIn feels quieter than usual.

When I first started posting content online in hopes of building a "profitable" business:

• I spent hours second-guessing myself. 
• Most of my time was rewriting rough drafts. 
• I'd legit delete posts before I published them.

The only way I've found success after years of failing with the wrong mindset:

Zero overthinking → going full speed into the biz.

1. 0 to 40,000 followers in under 2 years
2. Built a business that lets me work anywhere.
3. Transforming businesses/founders globally.
4. Meeting some of the coolest people online. 

And this has nothing to do with having a perfect strategy or being "ready," whatever that means. 

It's because I'm moving fast. 
It's because I'm not waiting for anyone. 

Results don't love perfect.
Results love speed.

My simple yet beautiful advice for you:

People will actually engage with this. 

I want you to see yourself in my story. 

Here's my advice for your content on LinkedIn:

1. Add one transformation/post. 
2. Show the wins AND the struggles
3. Include emotions in your decisions. 
4. Show people how it changed your life. 
5. Let people see the real YOU, not perfect you.
6. Introduce your before and after moments. 
7. Explain your learnings (not just what you know).

The goal is to build a following of people who actually trust you. Not just a follower count. 

When someone sees their OWN struggles in your posts, they believe you can help them transform.

The answer is in the new algorithm changes. 

The team at LinkedIn uses a new AI system that actually reads your posts, understands your content, and reviews your profile. 

It's not just about your likes, comments, etc. 

Things like:

1. "You have to post at 8AM."
2. "Hashtags boost your search results."
3. "Engagement pods help a ton!"

Are all irrelevant now. 

The AI reads your literal LinkedIn headline. 

It knows what you do, who you help, what you help people do, and what you interact with.

Everything. 

This data is used to push your posts to audiences. 

So if your profile says "LinkedIn Growth" but you're talking about Crypto, Health, Working Out, and then rarely LinkedIn? 

Then the AI is like "bro what is this..."
