Bryan realized Allen wasn’t just launching a book; he was building a personal brand. The One Away Podcast explores the stories of people who made the one call, sent the one email, had the one experience that made the difference and set them on a better path forward. 150+ recordings published with industry leaders who share vulnerable stories about their past and how it impacted their future. I’ll never forget one of our best client wins. 

We carefully put together the proposal, sent it over, and awaited their response. 

I had already started mapping our approach and designing their website in my mind and how to activate their brand with a podcast.

Then they put on the brakes. They needed time.

Instead of throwing my hands up and forgetting their number, we stayed close over a longer stretch.

And for better or worse, I stayed “Pleasantly Persistent”.

I’d send helpful articles, contribute to their work, make introductions to interesting people on their behalf, share thoughts tailored to their niche. I wanted them to know I was still thinking of them.

Then, before Christine Perkett signed, she effectively said, “You’ve already done more for me than others in previous engagements.”

That taught me something profound: marketing and sales isn’t just what you say. 

It’s how you show up.

Our best work often happens BEFORE there’s a contract, because trust is built earlier than that.

The same is true for our clients. When their digital presence reflects their values, their generosity, and their clarity of thinking, they attract aligned opportunities—without chasing.

Persistence, when paired with value, doesn’t annoy. It leaves a lasting impression.

Writing it every week changed how I relate to my own thinking, and how others relate to me.

Most founders don’t actually want “marketing.”

-They want to be understood without explaining themselves 100 times.
-They want to walk into a room and hear, “I loved what you wrote last week.”
-They want leverage that doesn’t require eight more Zooms on their calendar.

What they’re really craving is *resonance.*

A brand that reflects who they are, what they believe, and where they’re going.
But the word brand can feel abstract. Overused. Maybe even performative.
