Business Transformation Department of HNB PLC engages in project management and process improvement of the bank. The department is entrusted with project 'Everest' that chiefly focuses on bank digitalization, while carrying out business process reengineering projects within the organisation as well.

Assigned as a trainee to the team overseeing technology and digital streams with the following duties and responsibilities.

▪︎Working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on business transformation projects.
▪︎Track and monitor milestones achievement of relevant work streams as project plan and update respective project managers on a weekly basis.
▪︎Actively study and capture process data (e.g. Time and motion studies) for process mapping and data analysis requirement of projects.
▪︎Analyse feedback from project outcomes and put together dashboards to present to corporate/senior management.

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my profile. Below, you'll find a bit about me.

I went through a tough time in my career, trying to decide between marketing and data science. Even though I was doing well in my studies, I felt unfulfilled.

It was a period in which I was facing a lot of mental breakdowns and sleepless, overthinking nights, in addition to a few economic challenges at home.

During this time, I worked as a junior growth marketer at an agency called We Are Team Rocket. One day, the senior team surprised me by inviting me on a retreat to a beautiful villa near the beaches of the south of Sri Lanka.

At the retreat, the CEO shared his life story with us. Seeing his hard work and dedication made a significant impact on me and helped me see things differently.

Before we left, he gave each of us a letter. Mine had this valuable advice.

1. Hold yourself accountable and take ownership.
2. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and speak up for progress.
3. Imagine yourself with a purpose and stick to it until it becomes your obsession.

That experience changed my mindset completely.

I decided to pursue a career in marketing with a focus on business goals.

Since then, I've been studying and challenging myself to keep growing.

Having clarity and getting advice from someone who achieved what I wanted was all I needed.

I've made great friends who have helped me become a better person.

Now, my goal is to master the sales process and share what I learn with others!
