They do like interactive demos. If you don't know what an interactive demo is in 2025, I can't help you. 

But Guidecrow is the new hipster on the block who's bringing vinyl records back. 

And after testing their product, I will say this: Guidepro does interactive demos right.

A coworker once told me his ultimate company goal was to become a plant. 

Invisible in the background. No one knows who you are or what you do.

I used to think that was ridiculous. 

But the longer I work corporate jobs, the more I realize that guy had it all figured out.

I'm never selling out.

I've seen an increase in sponsored posts on LinkedIn, and received a few requests myself. 

I don't judge, but it's not for me. 

Selling services is fine, but I want my LinkedIn to be my own. 

With sponsored posts, I can't get past a few issues: 

1. It hurts your rep 
Not a ton. But once your posts start becoming ads, some of the magic is gone. A rep is hard to earn but easy to tarnish.

2. Trust issues
If I make a recommendation, I want people to know I believe in the product. Sponsored posts make everything cloudy. And once you start accepting them, suspicion will even hover over your genuine recommendations.

3. Corportizes your voice
I like to get a little unhinged with my posts/videos. The beauty of this place is I don't have to run anything "up the flagpole". Having someone review my posts is a hell no. 

But that's just me. I still love and respect all you guys who get compensated for your hard work.

I'm on a writer's retreat this week. So, will be off LinkedIn. 

It's time to write the "Great American PMM Christmas Hallmark Movie"

A few of you have asked me about the skit since the announcement. I've been busy, but finally have time to work on it with Thanksgiving slowness. 

And 17 PMMs have raised their hands to participate!

So, my biggest challenge will be figuring out how to squeeze that many people into a 5-minute video. I've got a pretty good idea, but need to iron out details.  

What goes on during a writer's retreat? 

I plan on stuffing myself with turkey and binge-watching Christmas Hallmark movies for inspiration. 

It's a pretty sophisticated process. And I should emerge in a week with a killer script. 

So, to the 17 PMMs, hang tight, I will reach out next week with the next steps on filming. 

I'm off now. I may do some throwback video posts over the next few days, so the algo gods don't completely hate me, though.
