A New York State Bar Association task force will address the benefits and potential dangers surrounding artificial intelligence and make regulatory recommendations for this powerful and fast-developing technology.
The task force was formed both to address AI’s potential to streamline how daily business is conducted and in response to high-profile cases of professionals in many fields – including law – who have relied on generative AI such as ChatGPT to produce research that later turned out to be fabricated.

Prior to Reveal, I served as the  Global Director of Gibson Dunn's eDiscovery and Practice Technology group, specializing in eDiscovery, data analytics and information governance and cybersecurity.  Before joining Gibson Dunn, I ran the New York Computer Forensics and eDiscovery practice at PwC, built out the antitrust forensic technology practice and served as the national subject matter expert on eDiscovery for KPMG.

I am a Harvard Graduate and Pepperdine School of Law Alum, with a passion for travel, writing, painting and existential philosophy.

Sheila Grela is a seasoned litigation paralegal who is an Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) in eDiscovery. Her paralegal certificate, with honors, was from the ABA-approved USD Paralegal program. She was honored by CAPA with the paralegal of the year award in 2021 and with the 2022 Gayle O'Connor GO Spirit Award.

Sheila has advanced her paralegal experience by becoming both a Relativity Review Management Specialist (RRMS) and a Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS). Her eDiscovery achievement was acknowledged when she was appointed as a Global Advisory Council participant for EDRM.

Sheila is a fierce advocate for the legal community's training, education, mentorship, and professional development. Her most recent adventure is working on the "Virtual Lunch with Leaders" series. This weekly online program, sponsored jointly with SDPA, EDRM, and Practice Aligned Resources, was developed to promote professional development through discussions or presentations by leaders in the legal industry.

She volunteers as a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants Continuing Education Committee. In addition, Sheila is an active member of the San Diego Chapter of Women in eDiscovery, where she currently serves as the Program Director.
