I'm only half-joking but when I'm not posting memes or cold calling, I'm doing everything I can to improve my business acumen and lead a life of integrity, optimism, and service. 

I'm passionate about making a positive impact in my personal and professional communities. Ultimately, my personal mission is to help others and hopefully make some people laugh along the way.

Dealio (joindealio.com) is the affordable local advertising platform for small businesses that actually works. Over time, we want every small business to be able to come to Dealio to reach local customers across every channel from one place.

We’re building Dealio for a specific moment: 2025/2026 feels like the edge of a recession, maybe worse. That pressure will push a lot of great small businesses to the brink. The only way they will survive is if their communities can actually find them, remember them, and choose them. Dealio exists to spotlight the best local businesses so neighbors and tourists alike can discover and support them.

This isn’t my first time here. I co‑founded PhatDeals (phatdeals.net) in 2007, 14 months before Groupon – a “Craigslist for coupons” where small businesses could post local deals and customers could text coupons to their phone. That experience taught me what worked, what didn’t, and how to build a more disciplined, community‑anchored version with Dealio today.

Over the last two decades I’ve spent ~30,000 hours in sales and customer‑facing roles across SaaS, hardware, and local small businesses. My superpower is earning trust quickly and converting that trust into long‑term relationships. I’m at my best when I’m out in the field with owners and customers, then turning those conversations into clear next steps, follow‑ups, and repeat business. I like being the bridge between technical products and real human needs.

Right now, my primary focus is building Dealio in the East Bay – onboarding merchants, driving foot traffic, and validating a model that truly works for Main Street.

Alongside that, I’m open to a small number of 3–6 month GTM / field sales projects in the Bay Area that align with my strengths: in‑person customer work, local market development, and turning ambiguity into a repeatable sales motion. I also occasionally advise early founders on finding the right idea and resources to get started.
