I thought feeling miserable at work was just part of being an adult.

I graduated into a pandemic and somehow landed what looked like a “great” job.

It paid well. There was a clear career path. The company had a name people recognised.

But I hated it.

Every day, and even the evenings after, felt like a long, stressful slog. I felt flat and disconnected, and started to wonder if this was just how work is meant to feel. Something you push through, not enjoy.

A few years later, everything looks different.

I started making content on the side. That turned into a genuine interest in personal branding.

Now I’m a brand manager.

The work can still be intense at times, but the days go fast and I feel like myself in the work. That alone makes a huge difference.

It’s not about finding a “dream job”.

It’s about doing something that actually fits you.

If your job constantly drags you down, maybe it’s not you.
Maybe it’s time to change direction.

I have ten years of experience in general administration (inventorying and administrative tasks), customer service, and digitalization of library materials such as books, leaflets, certificates, and upload databases. I decided to study the translation course because I think it is important to write correctly.  I love languages and I enjoy reading different kinds of books (literature, physics, quantum physics, astronomy, palaeontology, biology, Argentinian, European,  and American comic books, and Japanese mangas).

As a translator and as a writer, I specialized in the following areas:

- vertebrate palaeontology,
- literature (sci-fi, fantasy and short stories),
- biology (ornithology, zoology and evolution).
