Operations Energy Engineer

Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment

•Spearheaded KITE’s group that developed a 2.5 million Euro biomethanisation project. The project generates electricity from palm oil mill effluent (waste) for distribution to rural communities.
•Researched and assessed renewable energy resources in Ghana and made recommendations for the use of solar PV for an energy and telecommunications project.
•Served as KITE’s representative on the multi-company project: “e-Commerce and Renewable Energy” (eCARE), a UNF/UNEP sponsored project that helped bridged the digital divide between rural and urban communities in Ghana.
•Wrote background paper on the first World LPG Association’s LP Gas Rural Energy Challenge workshop in Accra. 
•Represented the country (Ghana) on a 6-member international team on Energy that developed a tool for assessing impact of energy interventions in developing countries -  ‘Assessment Framework for Impact of Energy Interventions’.
•Designed and installed 75 units of 2.5 kW solar power systems in 75 communities in Ghana.

Prior to Ford Land / Ford Motor Company was Energy Engineer II at Franklin Energy Services where I served on the DTE Energy's Energy Efficiency for Business Program. Before joining Franklin Energy Services, I was Operations Energy Engineer at Impact Energy Management where I primarily focused on developing and leading the implementation of energy efficiency projects. Played key roles in performing forensic evaluations of energy efficiency projects.  

Previously served in key roles at the Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment (KITE) for over seven years. Key activities here included being part of the team that developed a 2.5 million Euro biomethanization project for electricity generation as well as serving as KITE's representative on a multi-company project: "e-Commerce and Renewable Energy, eCARE", a UNF/UNEP sponsored project that helped to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban communities in Ghana. Represented Ghana on a 6-member international team that developed a tool for assessing the impact of energy interventions in developing countries.
