HVI has been a family-owned and operated company since 2001. In 2020, Caleb stepped in on a truck and worked part-time at night and on the weekends to learn what it took to run the company from an operational and business standpoint. Caleb has started and sold his small businesses, so his experience as a young entrepreneur transfers over to his role at HVI.

- Caleb oversees ongoing business operations within the company.

Currently, Caleb oversees close to 20 employees and 7 service crews.

Chief Operating Officer

- Directing the day to day operations.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked with some of NYC's largest contractors building over $300 MM in the field as a lead PM/Super and estimated over $10 BILLION as a Senior Estimator. I’m fluent in both operations and how they need to come together to create repeatable project success. With boots-on-the-ground experience and having had my own concrete business, I understand the intricacies and complexities of large-scale and small-scale construction projects and deeply appreciate the importance of accurate planning, execution, and risk management.

OHL North America

Senior estimator on projects in the NY Metro Area and Boston, MA.  Estimated projects for various agencies, including TBTA, MTA, NYCTA, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, MASSDOT, MBTA, NYCDDC, CTDOT, etc.  Projects ranged in size from $30 million to $1.2 Billion.  Responsibilities included coordinating overall project estimates while providing leadership, training, and mentoring for the estimating team. Worked with clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors/ suppliers to plan cost factors for projects; analyzed construction documents, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare final estimates.  Coordinated and assisted Design / Build teams and managed estimate analysis with designers and JV partners, including technical write-ups and schedules.  Estimates scope of work included roadways, bridges, transit, rail, core/shell construction, marine, and grading work.

Senior Estimator

Took on ownership duties while providing Decorative Concrete, Unique Concrete Solutions, and Epoxy Flooring.  Engaged with prospects and clients and addressed concrete issues they had while also adding an architectural design look.

Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc.

Project consisted of constructing (10) T Walls, (5) Soldier Pile and Lagging Retaining or Noise Walls, (2) Secant Pile Walls, construction of a new underpass tunnel utilizing secant piles, new concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, drainage, landscaping, curb, sidewalks, striping, stone work, sign structure replacement, electrical upgrades including new traffic signals.  In addition, a new restroom facility was constructed, with a new parking lot and station area for food vendors.  Project also included installation of new gas, sewer, water and electrical utilities.  A walk trail was reconstructed with stone edges and drainage gutters, LED bollards and landscaping.

Project Superintendent

* Estimated over $4.5 billion in various projects.  Assisted in writing and negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts.  Prepared detailed accurate takeoffs and priced accordingly.  Analyzed subcontract quotes for best value. Lead estimator for the Three Bridge Project in Bronx, NY then went on to be PM/ Project Superintendent after a successful low bid.

* Field Experience - Project Manager / Project Super on various Bridge and Roadway projects totaling approximately $300 million.  Assistant Super on projects totaling approximately $200 million.  All projects consisted of Bridge Rehabilitations, Ramps, Piers and footings, Piling, Roadway reconstruction, Drainage upgrades, Electrical Upgrades, Bridge Painting, MPT, Bridge Overlays, and Concrete and Asphalt paving.
