Outbound never looks the way you expect it to 
this year reminded me of that the hard way

On one hand:

- Volume was there
- Messages were solid
- Targeting looked right
- Campaigns were running

But at the same time:

- Calls going nowhere
- Some emails bounced
- Lists needed fixing (again)
- Results are a bit inconsistent

And honestly? It felt heavier than it should have.
I kept thinking:

"We're doing the right things… why isn't this working?"
"What am I missing here?"

It was one of those phases where you’re doing the right things, but the results don’t fully line up yet….

That’s when it clicked for me…
With the right data foundation (which we often de-prioritize!)

I’ve probably lost $25–40k this year.

No real warmup (... or done for too short a period of time)

No inbox placement test to see where your message lands (inbox vs spam?)

→ ✍️ Learning Zone: testing by segment, iterating frequently, letting data challenge opinions

→ 🪴Growth Zone: less volume, more meetings, predictable motion

Or if your outreach isn’t timely and relevant (relevant = signal/sales trigger -> reason to reach out to see if they open to chat). 

In sales and marketing, you just REALLY have to be there when the time comes. 

You never know when that happens, so be #ATOM.

Most teams do this loop without questioning it:
Import leads → enrich → fix bounces → re-upload → repeat.

It feels normal because everyone does it.
But it quietly eats time and focus
