My clients are obsessed with work—and it's hurting them. They're working long hours and sacrificing their personal lives for the sake of a company. They're keeping secrets from their spouses and children because they don't want to worry them about the stress of running a business. And they're addicted to the adrenaline rush that comes from the power they command both within the business and industry… but question whether that rush is worth it if it means that they have no time to see their kids grow up or spend precious moments with their spouse because they're always working.

I've been there myself, and I know how hard it is to change these habits once they've become ingrained in your life. My husband suffered from a breakdown due to work-related stress.  It was messy and painful, and it took much deep inner work to rebuild his life.

That's why I created my coaching practice: to help other leaders learn how to create healthy boundaries between work and life so that they could be present in all aspects of their lives again—and enjoy them.  

My practice offers individuals a new way of being, found through meaningful insights, and is much less about 'doing'.  This alone is often the breathing space clients need to dare to dream of a future filled with hope and purpose.

The time out for parenting also fuelled my desire to add to my more skills to my coaching portfolio by studying somatic and ontological coaching. As an organisation, ISMAUK exists to advance the education of the public in the field of biological stress.

The work of ISMAUK and its membership includes providing advice to members of the public and Employers/organisations, and includes supporting the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in the delivery of their requirements for Stress Risk Assessment and the implementation of the HSE Management Standards.

Working with FTSE 500 companies to develop strategies for employee engagement, communications and operational delivery of health and well-being programmes for business with 10,000 to 150,000 employees.  Responsible for the programme life cycle from sales, quality assurance and operational management of the clinical teams throughout the UK; including management of the UK's largest sickness absence management team based from Salford Quays, using cutting edge technology for remote case management of stress and employee well-being.  

In addition to this, I undertook a 3 month secondment to undertake a clinical quality project on behalf of the medical directorate, to ensure that clinical and pathology standards were being met internally and by our external provider (TDL).  This involved site based audits, personnel interviews and presentation of findings and recommendations to the medical directorate, resulting in new processes, revised procedures, introduce annual QA checks and a class based training module within the staff induction process.

I first became fascinated by cryptocurrency back in 2020. For a long time, though, I was hesitant to share my thoughts about it, mainly because of all the negative press surrounding the topic. A lot of it felt unfounded, often stemming from stories of friends who had lost money on a meme coin while gambling. Despite that, I never wavered in my belief in the potential of this sector. 

I found that when I swapped out the word "crypto" for "emerging technologies," people seemed to understand it much better. Suddenly, they were asking insightful questions that helped me dive even deeper into the subject. 

As I engaged in more conversations, I noticed something surprising: many of the smart, successful women I know (especially those of us in the second half of our careers and beginning to think about retirement) had little to no knowledge about this space. It was as if nobody had spoken to them about it... not their financial advisors, nor their accountants, nor the media. 

That just didn’t sit right with me. So, I decided to create something for us ladies. 

I put together a free 30-minute video series that breaks everything down in simple terms. No jargon, no pressure. Just a clear explanation of what’s really happening in the world of crypto and why more thoughtful women are starting to take notice. 

And just to be clear. Men are absolutely welcome to join in too! But if you know any women who might have been overlooked in this conversation, I encourage you to share this with them too. It’s completely free and requires no technical background to understand.
