Let’s be honest: most B2B content is boring AF.

If you're a CEO and building your brand on LinkedIn, don't get distracted by the dopamine hits of engagement. 

The way I approach a CEO LinkedIn strategy is straightforward. 

It's a long-game where every post and comment increases exposure for the brand.

Posturing won't get you anywhere. It's about positioning. 

You have to position yourself as a human/operator your audience can trust. 

Everything builds from there.

You write better comments than posts. You know it’s true.

Your comments are relaxed, to the point, and confident. They feel easy.

But when you sit down to write your own post, you freeze. You start sanding your words to smooth them out. You cut the good stuff to make room for structure.

Comments let you join a conversation. Posts make you start one.

That shift from participant to leader changes everything.

When you’re commenting, the room’s already warm. If you have something to add, you do.

When you’re the one setting the stage, there’s pressure to perform.

Your comment history is proof that you already know how to sound like yourself.

The next time one of your comments gets traction, look at what made people respond.

Was it the analogy? The bluntness? The clarity?

Whatever it is, pull in the context the original post provided by adding a few lines. Then expand the example so it can stand on its own.

Your voice is already there.

Pick one comment from this week and turn it into your next post.

There's nothing inherently wrong with clean carousels, familiar hooks, and perfectly structured posts. 

A lot of it works, and that's why people use them. 

But, over time, you see your feed fill up with variations of the same post.
 
The main issue is that everyone's personality gets sanded down in the process.

The posts that actually make us stop feel different.

They feel like we're overhearing someone think out loud.

There's a point of view that hasn't been recycled, and when you finish reading, you feel satisfied and a little compelled to respond.

Before you hit publish, try this filter: would this sound interesting if someone overheard it at a coffee shop?

If it sounds like something you'd say in a meeting, it's probably been edited into vanilla content.

If it sounds like something you'd say to a smart friend while working through an idea, you're closer.
