Writing content for LinkedIn shouldn't take you hours. 

Here are 7 tips to help ease your writing and sharing process: ⤵

1. Time-block on your calendar to get it done.
2. Keep a running list of ideas (note app / paper note / draft).
3. Don't focus on the length but focus on the communication goal. 
4. Use your calendar as a prompt (upcoming events, projects, celebrations). 
5. It's ok (and good) to share an idea over and over again, people easily forget!
6. Keep a record of drafts you created but never published (they can be handy in the future!) 
7. Simplicity beats complexity every time - one idea, one person, one concept. 

The more you write the easier it gets. 

You can't "mess up" your content, everything you write and share just helps you sharpen and refine your voice.

I didn’t spend decades repeating unhealthy patterns because I was broken. I was carrying what I watched, inherited, and learned to survive.Like many women of color, I grew up observing strength that looked like silence, self-sacrifice, over-functioning, and emotional endurance. Love was something you earned. Safety came from being useful. Rest felt unsafe. Asking for help felt like failure.

So I became hyper-independent.In my relationships.
In my work.
In my identity.
And no amount of success, achievement, or “doing the work” actually changed those patterns — until I understood where they came from.

I’m a Spiritual Neuroscientist and Generational Healing Expert. My work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, epigenetics, ancestral wisdom, and lived experience.

I help women of color understand how inherited survival patterns live in the nervous system and quietly shape:
• who they love
• how they relate
• how much they give
• how safe they feel choosing themselves

This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you see clearly — so you can stop reenacting what was never meant to be yours to carry.

It wasn’t that I chose the wrong men.

It wasn’t that I didn’t love hard enough.
It wasn’t that I wasn’t self-aware.
It was this: My ancestors didn’t teach me how to love.
They taught me how to survive.

And I was confusing the two.
I learned that love meant:
• Endure.
• Overgive.
• Stay strong.
• Don’t need too much.
• Keep the peace.
• Handle it yourself.

That wasn’t romance.
That was resilience.
That wasn’t intimacy.
That was survival strategy.

And survival strategies make sense in the context they were born in.
But they don’t always create healthy love.
Or healthy leadership.
Or healthy ambition.
Or healthy self-worth.

We aren’t bad at love. We just might be loyal to patterns that were built before we ever had a choice.

I was built to stay and endure.
But not anymore.

I stayed in toxic workplaces even when they completely broke my confidence.
I stayed in a marriage long after the love was gone.
I stayed in relationships that should have ended years earlier.

Because I thought endurance was strength.
Because I thought loyalty meant staying.
Because I thought leaving meant failure.

But not anymore.

Now I can proudly say this: I’m a quitter.

I quit environments that cost me my peace.
I quit relationships that require self-abandonment.
I quit narratives that glorify suffering.

For generations, the women in my family endured because they had to.
They didn’t have options.
They didn’t have financial freedom.
They didn’t have language for boundaries.

Staying was survival.
But because of them I do have options.
And breaking the cycle means knowing when to leave.

To everyone in my lineage who had to endure...we are free now.
The cycle is broken.

You want to know what it feels like to be single year after year?
It feels hella intentional.

After a divorce and multiple failed relationships, I had to admit something hard:
It wasn’t them. It was me repeating the same dynamic with different people.

At some point, I had to stop asking, “Why does this keep happening to me?”
And start asking, “What am I repeating that I no longer want to carry?”

So I chose to pause.
Because what I kept finding was familiar.
And what I wanted was evolved.

When you heal at this level, you don’t just change who you date.
You change who you are in every room.
You see your family differently.
You see friendships differently.
You see how you’ve been performing for connection your entire life.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Being single these last five years has been lonely at times. (Truth time...sometimes it's been excruciatingly lonely).
But in those moments, I knew I wasn’t just alone.
I was breaking something that had been running through my lineage for decades.

I wasn’t just healing for love.
I was releasing the role I learned to play in every relationship...and the role the women before me were forced to play in theirs.

Now dating looks completely different.
I don’t seek to be chosen.
I decide if I choose.
And I only choose partnership that matches the woman I’ve become. Healthy love, growth, elevation, and mutual expansion.

Most people think they’re stuck in unhealthy relationship dynamics because they haven’t met the right person.
But many of us are repeating inherited patterns that show up in love, family, leadership, and even how we relate to ourselves.

I’m the first woman in my lineage to live alone in her 40s.
Single.
No kids.
Just me....well and my pup Cody 🐶🙃

For a long time, I thought that meant something had gone wrong.
Turns out it meant something had finally gone right.
Because living alone has given me something many of the women before me never had the chance to experience:
Space.
Space to hear myself clearly.
Space to slow down.
Space to question the patterns I inherited.

When you grow up watching women carry entire families on their backs, you learn early that love means overgiving.
That peace means keeping the peace.
That being “the strong one” means needing less, asking for less, and handling everything alone.

And those patterns don’t just show up in family.
They show up in relationships.
At work.
In friendships.
Even in how we treat ourselves.

Living alone has been one of the most unexpected gifts in my healing journey.
Because when the noise is gone, the patterns become impossible to ignore.
And once you see them clearly, you can finally start breaking them.

Sometimes generational healing doesn’t look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like a woman choosing peace.
Choosing boundaries.
Choosing herself.
And quietly changing the story for everyone who comes after her.

A lot of people assume that if a woman is single in her 40s then something must have gone wrong.
But what if the opposite is true?

I’m not choosing to be single at 43.
I’m choosing:
• to wait for a healthy, supportive partnership
• to stop repeating relationship patterns I inherited
• to choose peace over familiarity

• to break cycles the women before me didn’t have the freedom to break

Because for me (and all my dope single ladies out there) we are breaking generational wounds like...
Overgiving.
Staying quiet.
Earning love.
Standing alone.

These behaviors were modeled by the people who raised us and shaped by the realities we lived through.
They helped our family and ancestors survive.

But we are not here to survive. We are here to thrive.

I abandoned myself on a date a few months ago.
And the wild part?
I’ve spent years working on breaking my inherited relationship patterns. And I still caught myself doing it.

There I was, sitting across from someone who was saying things that made me deeply uncomfortable.
And when he asked what I thought about it?
I smiled and said: “Yeah… that’s fine with me.”

It wasn’t fine.
I felt it immediately.
That familiar tightening in my body.
That instinct to make things smoother, easier, less complicated… even if it meant silencing myself.

For years I thought moments like that meant something was wrong with me.
That I wasn’t healed enough.
But this is exactly how inherited patterns work.
They don’t disappear overnight.

They show up in moments where connection feels like it might be at risk.
And if your nervous system learned early in life that connection required you to quiet parts of yourself…
Self-abandonment becomes automatic.
Not because you’re weak.
Because you were trained to survive.

And here’s the part most people don’t talk about:
Even after you do the work, the pattern can still try to show up.
The difference is… now you can see it.
You can interrupt it.

10 years ago, I walked away from a marriage I thought would last forever.
I believed I had found my person. 

The one I’d build a life with. 
The one I’d never have to date again because we’d grow old together.
But it didn’t work out.

And I’m the type of person who believes in taking accountability for the role I play in my life.
What I had to face was this:
I didn’t really know myself.
I didn’t value myself.
And I sure as hell didn’t love myself.

What I realized was I had been repeating patterns of abandonment, hyper-independence, and over-giving...trying to make relationships work and trying to be loved by someone else…
When the person I needed to love was me.

That divorce taught me something profound:
The key to healthy relationships in love, business, friendships, and life...starts with knowing and loving yourself.

But here’s the part we don’t talk about enough.
Self-love isn’t just bubble baths and affirmations.
Sometimes it’s hard to love yourself because of the patterns you inherited, the conditioning you grew up with, and the survival strategies that once protected you but now keep you disconnected from yourself.

That’s exactly why I’m excited to host a virtual Self-Love Q&A with Jasmyn Quianna, author of Falling Madly in Self-Love and founder of the Absolute Self-Love Movement.

Jasmyn has created a powerful framework called the 12 Pillars of Absolute Self-Love, helping high-achievers break cycles of self-abandonment, rebuild self-trust, and return home to themselves.

Let’s break the cycle.

One in six women who take my Relationship Pattern Quiz get the same result: self-abandonment.
Why? Because they inherited a pattern.

Self-abandonment is one of the most common patterns I see. And it starts early.

You learn that connection has to be protected.
That someone being upset is somehow your responsibility.
That keeping the peace matters more than saying what you need.

So you adapt.
You perform.
You appease.
You overgive.
You silence yourself.

And after years of doing this, it stops feeling like a pattern.
It just feels like who you are.

A generational pattern is a belief, behavior, or survival strategy you learned growing up that now runs automatically in your adult life.

You think it’s your personality. But is a pattern. 

And they show up everywhere.

Let’s look closer.

In your career:
Are you overworking to prove your worth?
Struggling to advocate for yourself?
Afraid to take up space?

In love:
Are you overgiving to feel secure?
Putting their needs above your own?
Confusing chemistry with familiarity?

In family:
Are you the fixer?
The peacekeeper?
The strong one who never falls apart?

In friendships:
Are you the emotional container for everyone else?
The one who shows up but rarely asks for support?

With yourself:
Are you hustling for worth?
Hard on yourself?
Avoiding rest because slowing down feels unsafe?

women stepping fully into their dopeness and claiming what they deserve in the workplace.

Because here’s the truth.

Too many brilliant, capable, wildly talented women are still being underpaid, overlooked, or taught to play small when it comes to advocating for themselves.

Not anymore.

Especially not during Women’s History Month.

This month is a reminder that progress doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens when women start owning their value… and when we support each other in doing the same.

So let’s normalize conversations about money.
Let’s normalize negotiating.
Let’s normalize women claiming the compensation that reflects their brilliance.

And let’s support the queens around us while we’re at it.

Hiring into leadership roles is slowing and women are feeling it.

LinkedIn data shows that across 16 major economies, women's share of new senior leadership hires peaked at 34.8% in 2022. Since then, it's declined — including a full percentage-point drop in the past year alone.

Important to note: Women aren’t applying less. The research suggests the slowdown is happening on the employer side as labor market slack impacts hiring decisions.

That's why mindset matters, especially when walking into a job interview.
