In June of 2023, I put a post out in The AI Exchange's Slack community.  I said I wanted to start a live weekday AI show.  Not weekly or every once in a while.  I wanted to do a show every weekday because I saw the potential for bringing AI knowledge to busy professionals who wanted to understand how to use AI in their business practices, but didn't have tons of time to devote to learning everything.  

Cut to today, we have now gone live over 400 times, we have grown our YouTube channel to over 2700 subscribers and had similar success on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and even a bit on TikTok.

The Daily AI Show continues to grow rapidly and it has become a welcomed part of my days. I feel incredibly lucky to have 45 minutes daily to hang out and learn alongside our wonderful co-hosts. 

There is no master plan here. Our simple goal on August 7th, 2023 was to simply keep showing up.  We felt if we were consistent, the rest would work itself out. 

And that is exactly the path we are on.

Commission for Nurse Reimbursement

The Commission for Nursing Reimbursement launched in response to the nationwide concerns of nursing staffing shortages and will be working to change the way that Medicare reimburses health care systems for the valuable care that nurses do.



The Commission aims to evaluate, review and make recommendations to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services on how to improve the current model of payment for nursing services within the hospitals and others.



The Commission will be working alongside nursing organizations and partnering with healthcare groups across the nation to propose a solution to Congress that takes into account the needs of the more than 5 million nurses in America today and seeks to reduce the high cost of quality healthcare.

The AI Exchange is the premier resource for business and product leaders who are adopting AI.

I worked as the Course Leader for Prompting for AI Ops.

Duties included managing the cohort's private Slack channel, answering student questions, and running the weekly master sessions live.

Synthesis

Synthesis was designed to cultivate student voice, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem solving. I was a teacher for several one-hour online enrichment programs that brought students together from around the world. We focused on making sense of the complexity of Synthesis' original games and simulations.  I taught over 100 hours during my time with Synthesis and worked with over 50 children from around the world.

STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

It was my honor to be chosen to run my county's two vaccine sites during Covid 19.  As a site manger, I oversaw the distribution of 45,000 vaccines safely administered to residents.  I lead a team of 45 paid workers and 15 national guard soldiers on a daily basis to ensure the safety of both the residents and the vaccine vials. I'm proud to say over 99% of all drawn doses made it into a waiting arm.  Both sites were mobile deployments with one operating out of a closed Sears Auto Center and the other on campus at St. Leo University.

In my role at SME, I had the pleasure of working with organizations that want to turn their data into their biggest resource and influence on ROI. 

At the core of my job was the opportunity to build SME's digital presence.  This includes:

*Produced over 300 professional videos for LinkedIn that helped generate new leads and increase overall brand awareness.  Followers increased 3x.

*Overhauled outdated website. Page load speed dropped to 2 seconds, bounce rate dropped by 50%, and monthly active users increased by 10x

Nutrition WOD

It was an amazing experience personally helping thousands of athletes around the world perfect their nutrition.  I accomplished this by collecting data on each athlete and then providing custom nutrition plans that catered to his/her unique needs.  Of the over 5000 nutrition plans we created, no two were identical.  

This unique data driven take on nutrition helped everyone from weekend warriors to the Fittest Woman on Earth achieve personal records in the sport of CrossFit. 

In this role, I created an online nutrition training center with over 40 videos that taught athletes how to eat for performance.  Performing constant data analysis allowed me make fast improvements based on our athlete's feedback.

I loved the opportunity to take my data analysis skills and help online companies run successful Facebook ad campaigns.  

By creating custom filters and narrowing in on what truly affected ROI, I was able to help several clients achieve 5X ROI on their campaigns.  

This position gave me the opportunity to work closely with constantly changing data sets.  By setting up workflows and key metrics, I successfully managed multiple accounts at one time.

U R CrossFit

I opened U R CrossFit, a brick and mortar functional fitness facility, in 2011. At the time, CrossFit was relatively unknown.  What set our gym apart was the early adoption of computer programs that helped track the workout data of every athlete.  With these results, I was able to customize workouts to ensure each athlete reinforced strengths while focusing on weaknesses.   

As the gym grew in membership, I hired, supervised, and promoted several fitness instructors while providing each employee with continuing education in the areas of nutrition, strength and conditioning, gymnastics, cardiovascular endurance. 

It was also at this position that I surpassed 10,000 hours and 20 years of live training experience. This training experience proved crucial in future positions as I could not only track and analyse data, but I could explain what it meant to my clients with relative ease.  There is no substitute for putting in the hours and it has made me a well-rounded data analyst.
