I'm just beyond speechless at this point.

The Bureau of Prisons has a new policy that is effectively doom for people like me.

I will link in the comments so you can read this yourselves. Having read the policy, it does in fact state that HRT and social transition for trans people in prison will be undone to force "recovery".

"Oh well the solution is to not go to prison then" I hear naysayers naively dismiss.

It is not that simple.

According to Executive Order 14168 transgender people are no longer recognized on the basis of biological sex.

So what you may ask?

On December 4th 2025, the DOJ expanded its definitions of "domestic terrorism" to include such things as "radical gender ideology".

Do you see the dots I am connecting here?

If not, let me draw the line to my conclusion.

Trans people are not legal in the United States according to our federal government.

We are criminals solely at their discretion for the crime of existing without permission.

It doesn't matter if we commit a crime, because the crime is our lives.

The organized campaign against trans people by our government has led to this point. I cannot draw any conclusion from this other than the cruel and unusual treatment of a minority group that is the target of repeated vicious propaganda attacks. All designed to remove us permanently from public life at best, and more darker outcomes at worse.

I personally have been attempting to seek employment overseas for the last few years because I foresaw this outcome.

I want to live free, as do my brothers and sisters.

I want to go to work, see my friends, enjoy what life has to offer.

Do you too not want these things?

Trans people are people just like you.

We did nothing to you except exist.

I am tired of living in fear.

My choices are limited. I do not see a favorable destination of my journey.

Either I stay here, and run the risk of being forced to be someone I am not, or I flee and leave my friends, my family, my whole life behind, so I may have the chance to survive.

Neither option is particularly easy. Especially since I can no longer afford to leave the US.

I'm very very tired.

All I wanted from my life was to work hard and earn the respect of my peers.

Instead I am to live a life of uncertainty, where I am discriminated against because I am different. To be excluded because of negative biases reinforced by a system that scapegoats us for its own amusement.

Trans people are not your enemy.

We are the sacrifice being made.

If I can live, I will live as who I choose to be.

No law or mortal person can take that from me.

This broken country has been shattered into slivers.

At this point I am left wondering if it is even worth saving.

You dare say it was about saving women and children.

But that lie will not save your cursed soul from what is to come.

America is no longer my home.

It is my condemnation.
