I've been creating things, every minute of every day, ever since my mom turned around in the front seat of the car and said, "Let's play a game". She explained, "Every time you notice something neat in the world, notice what's missing. Notice how things could be even better. Imagine what you would create if you could create anything, and we'll daydream about it together. This is inventing." I fell in love with inventing at that moment, and have never stopped.

Malcolm Gladwell said it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. I've been inventing deliberately, non-stop, for over 40 years. I have thousands of inventions and have brought hundreds to the world: a collaborative online market research platform that's still around today, Canada's first performance advertising network, a machine that makes websites in 10 minutes, Google's (and Gusto's) approach to customer acquisition, and Google Partners – Google's largest money-making marketing program ever, now generating billions annually.

Above all, I love inventing ways to help others flourish. Like the Indeed Happiness Score – a program we created at Indeed to help people be happier at work, and let everyone know where all of us are actually happiest working.

What would make you happiest at work?

For me, it's having the freedom to create. And in today's AI revolution, I see an unprecedented opportunity to give everyone that same freedom.

CEO, and Founder of CREWASIS.AI, a platform that finds and ranks ideas. We are on a mission to find data-driven insights that change the world.  The platform uses publicly available data to predict trends in the form of insights and trends using AI and statistical analysis.  I am a Fortune 500 executive with 20 years of enterprise marketing and sales experience.  I left corporate in 2018 to pursue an idea after attending Harvard Business School and I wanted to create a company with a unique culture focused on diverse talent and thinking.  Recognizing that marketers have the largest discretionary budgets in the world yet know they can be better spent, she set charge to build a platform to do it.  I created CREWASIS during the pandemic and started experimenting with fine-tuned data science models to generate speedy ideas delivering 3x higher ROI and 3x lower costs.

The goal of the company is to identify blind spots and uncertainty. CREWASIS.AI was developed to harness the power of data and AI to surface the next big trends translating them into insights before they become headlines and before competitors see them.

People sometimes ask me, “Why do you work so hard?”

It’s rarely a neutral question and seldom called ambition. 

When I am, it’s framed as concern, as if effort needs an explanation.

So here’s the simple truth. 

I don’t work hard because I’m trying to prove anything. I work with intention because the work deserves it. I work because I see results when I do something I love.

Long before founding an AI company, I spent two decades inside Fortune 100 organizations, building and scaling consumer brands where execution mattered, and decisions carried weight. Those environments trained me to think clearly, move deliberately, and respect outcomes. Pressure wasn’t dramatized; it was part of the job. Credibility was earned quietly, through follow-through.

Starting a company didn’t make the work heavier. It made it cleaner.
Building an AI business means deciding without perfect information, prioritizing what actually matters, and protecting trust, with customers, with employees, with investors, often simultaneously. There are no inherited systems to lean on. You design the machine while running it. 

That requires presence, not panic. 
Discipline, not noise.

What some people read as intensity is simply clarity.

Preparation is care. 
Consistency is leadership. 
The focus is on sustaining momentum without burnout. 

I’m not interested in being seen as busy. I’m interested in reducing friction, closing loops, and building something that holds up under real-world pressure.

As we move into 2026, the work is becoming more refined.

Fewer initiatives.
Cleaner decisions.
Real customers with real problems.
Products that simplify instead of impress.
Conviction that doesn’t wobble when it’s tested.

I don’t work hard because I have to justify my ambition. I work with purpose because I see the full landscape.

Customers rely on the product.
Teams rely on leadership.
Companies only survive if someone stays steady when things get uncomfortable.

That’s not intensity. That’s stewardship. And it’s simply good business.

From Impact to Action: Waterpik's Success Story!

Automation doesn't come from living and breathing AI.  

The future of work is about taking manual work and automating so we reduce the tasks that we don't need to spend countless hours on.

I started in very manual jobs. They still are. If anything, AI will help remove some of the friction in these roles and hopefully allow for more human interaction.

My path to AI is a narrative many founders can relate to: blood, sweat, and tears.

For a decade, I juggled multiple jobs to finance my education. As the child of Guyanese immigrants to Canada who had three kids, my parents couldn't financially plan for my schooling, so I took it upon myself to earn the money needed to pursue my dreams and goals.

Becoming a founder at a young age wasn't an option for me. I consider myself fortunate to have had a solid career that allowed me to save and eventually take the time to build my own venture.

The future of work is my passion, and I know where it all started.  

Driving a Frito Lay Truck is still one of my favorite parts of my story.

I hope my story resonates with some of you.
