But try updating it six months later. Try explaining to Claude what you built and why. Try deploying updates without breaking production.

Performance, security, and maintainability are where AI-built sites fall apart. The code works on day one and becomes a mystery in a few weeks. There is still a place in this world for a solid CMS to maintain structure and taxonomy as your site scales. So how do you leverage AI to accelerate your web projects, while maintaining a robust process?

We've seen this building production sites with Claude Code at acornCMO. A few migrations in with a few different approaches, we figured out an architecture that holds up. 

And we open-sourced the whole thing: A starter theme, a project context file that gives Claude Code long-term memory across sessions, and a guide covering everything from local dev to production deployment.

Today I caught Claude Code inexplicably swapping out server names and trying to write dev code directly to production. 

It failed, because Claude's ssh access is only to the dev server, and not the production server. But without that protection, I would have had a rough afternoon. 

Vibe coding is fun until it isn't. Basic architecture and code handling practices still apply. Use git. Make backups. Review the code. And keep Claude inside its guardrails. Don't worry. It's still fun.

I had been building an intriguing prototype with Openclaw but this week’s release of Claude Dispatch changed the game again. 

Now I have a Mac running persistently with Claude Cowork and communicating to it with the Claude app, and sharing context and skill files to multiple machines and profiles with iCloud Documents to sync. This is a huge boost in continuity across clients, projects, and tasks. 

This reduces my Openclaw security concerns and the need to use Claude tokens for Openclaw. All I need is my Max plan.
