It is well known that the best team wins, and my aim in life is to be on the best team. 

Throughout my career, I have built a strong reputation as a finance leader overseeing the planning, implementation, management, and operation of all finance activities for franchises with numerous locations across the nation. I work hard to provide strategic leadership and direction to my teams. It is when you look across the room and trust everyone sitting at the table, that you know you are in the right place. By building top-class finance and accounting teams, I have been able to deliver significant results and provide the groundwork for the greater financial strength of an organization.

We finance leaders keep business speeding along by looking around corners and seeing things others do not through creative and innovative approaches to solving problems and resolving issues. This is what I strive to be each day.

At my core, I'm a learner and explorer.  It is the drive to learn that fuels my need for exploration and that drops me outside of typical comfort zones at times. This need for learning defines who I am in both my professional and my personal life. 

In my personal life, I travel - sometimes to places some would consider remote. I do my best to soak up the culture of the places I go and to learn from the people I meet. When I'm not traveling, I explore my own city by going to museums or restaurants I've never been to. In fact, I'm trying to find the best taco shop in Denver right now. I'll let you know when I find it!  Beyond physical exploration, there is also exploration through reading or picking up new hobbies. I've recently started painting, where I get to explore my own creativity. 

In my professional life, I'm constantly learning and developing my skillsets, my knowledge of the business and my leadership abilities. In certain circumstances, I will learn by reading an article or going through a tutorial or a class. The majority of the time, I learn by partnering with people and digging in and doing. In my career, I've taught myself everything from Excel formulas and macros to web-building to vendor management to communicating at a high level to executives.

With learning, comes knowledge. And the knowledge I have gained throughout my life has fostered the values I try to live by and work within. 

I value an organization that fosters inclusivity and diversity. I believe that without diverse thought, a company will not succeed. Everybody's perspective matters. Everybody wants to be heard. I lead through consensus building. 

Sustainability is a value that I strive every day to live by. I believe we only have one earth and we should do as much in our power as possible to save it for future generations. Within my professional life, I have initiated numerous green initiatives whenever it has been in my power to make an impact. I work well within an organization that strives to do the same. 

Embracing innovation and change and having the freedom to explore new ideas and have them nurtured is extremely important to me. As the world changes around us, organizations and people need to change as well. Getting ahead of that change, well that's even better.
