There isn’t just one kind of burnout. Here are the 3 different forms...

Most people only know the loud kind...

→ Overload

It’s giving 9-9-6 work week energy.
Working five jobs for one paycheck.
Forgetting what it feels like to leave work while the sun’s still out.

Or like clients tell me... "I'm working too much, and when I'm NOT working, I'm thinking (& stressing) about work. It's taking over my life."

And the wildest part?

This kind of burnout is so normalized (even glorified) in sales & SaaS that we’ve forgotten what calm even feels like.

But that’s not the only kind.

→ Under-stimulation

This one’s quiet. It doesn’t scream... It hums.

You’ve been in your role for years.
You’re the top performer. Everything looks great.

BUUUUTTTTT you keep fantasizing about quitting it all, moving to Bali, and becoming a yoga instructor... even though you haven’t done yoga since 2019.

It’s the slow ache of a brain that’s built for more but stuck doing less.

The dread that creeps in when you realize you’ve mastered the thing you used to love… & you’re bored out of your f*cking mind.

And then there’s the one no one talks about:

→ Moral Burnout

The soul-sickness of working in a system that clashes with your values.
When the way you make money doesn’t match who you are.
When every “win” leaves an aftertaste of shame.
When you feel disgusted with the system & ashamed to be a part of it...

😵‍💫 

That was the one that finally broke me.

Sure, I was overloaded. Working five jobs for six months straight.
But what shattered me was realizing my boss was exactly who everyone said he was... a manipulative a**hole who exerted power over my career just bc he could.

That’s when something cracked.

I saw it all for what it was... the promise of “work hard, be rewarded” was complete bullsh*t.

And the mission I’d built my entire identity around? Gone.

But honestly?

Thank f*cking GAWD.

Burnout broke me, but it also forced me to rebuild my life from scratch.

Spoiler Alert: EVERYONE has intuition. Here’s how to develop it.
 

 

I once told my witchy friend I couldn’t join her intuitive development course because I “wasn’t psychic.”

She just blinked at me and said,
“Meg… everyone’s psychic. You’ve just been trained to ignore it.”

So I went. (For free. Thanks, babe.)

And honestly? It changed my entire life.

Here’s what I’ve learned after 8 years of deepening my intuition...

(ps.. YES, it applies to both business & life)

🔮 

1 — Trust that it’s already there.

You don’t "become" intuitive. You already have it. It's not always seeing dead people or predicting the future... It’s just your subconscious connecting dots faster than your conscious mind can keep up.

2 - Learn your intuitive language.

Intuition speaks in different formats: Clairvoyance (seeing), Clairaudience (hearing), Clairsentience (feeling), Claircognizance (knowing), and even Clairalience (smelling/tasting). Your body and senses are the hardware. You just need to learn how yours transmits.

3 - Turn down the noise.

When you’re constantly scrolling, consuming, and reacting, you’re tuned into everyone else’s frequency. You can’t hear your inner voice when 45 others are shouting their “hot takes” inside your head.

4 - LISTEN.

Your intuition’s been leaving you voice notes for years... you just keep muting the notifications. Meditate, journal, take a long shower. Whatever helps you slow down enough to actually hear what your body’s been trying to tell you.

5 - Find the patterns.

When you first start listening, it will likely just seem random. But when you learn to interpret what you're feeling/seeing/hearing/knowing, that's the magic. A constant pain in your shoulders might symbolize the weight of the world. Seeing a rose shedding its petals might mean something needs to fall away. Don't logic it away... get curious.

9 - Create a conversation.

Intuition doesn't have to be one-sided. Ask questions, see what comes up... I regularly ask how my body feels about a decision & then see what feelings come up. So go ahead... meditate on it & see what your intuition has to say.

(or 10 - go into the woods, take a bunch of psychedelics, & talk to the universe... highlyyy recommend a little dancing-as-medicine break every 3-12 months)

Burnout doesn’t always look like crying at your desk. Here are some of the weirder symptoms...

→ You can’t regulate temperature. Freezing one min, sweating the next.
→ You forget words mid-sentence, & your brain glitches like bad Wi-Fi.
→ You start dropping things. Missing turns. 
→ You scroll aimlessly bc real rest feels too foreign.
→ You dread Slacks bc every ping feels like a threat.
→ You start dreaming about drowning or tests you're unprepared for.
→ Your body hums like a vibrating phone... always on the edge of alert.
→ You get cold hands, tight jaw, sore back, zero sex drive.
→ You cry during commercials, at the grocery store, in line at the pharmacy, or for no reason at all.

I thought that burnout was just *deep exhaustion*.

But it's often your body SCREAMING in a million little ways.

We're just too used to it (from YEARS of pushing ourselves to the breaking point) to actually hear it.

Signs your job is quiet-quitting you.
 
 
 
If you’ve ever felt that eerie feeling of “something is off” at work but couldn’t articulate it...

Here are a few signs that your JOB is failing you.

Not the other way around.

🙅‍♀️ 

→ Your 1:1s keep getting canceled or shortened to 7 min of nothing.
→ You only hear from leadership when something goes wrong.
→ Your ideas “don’t fit the priorities”… until someone else suggests them.
→ You’re called "a team player” but never get support yourself.
→ You’re doing three different jobs… & getting paid for one.
→ You stop getting feedback (both good & bad)
→ Metrics change monthly, but expectations stay sky-high.
→ You dread simple tasks you used to enjoy & feel disillusioned.
→ You stop chasing accomplishments bc no one celebrates them anyway.
→ You’re told to “be patient” while watching others leapfrog ahead.
→ The culture's shifted but leadership pretends like everything's ok.
→ Decisions come down from “the top” & no one can explain the logic.
→ You feel more like a resource than a human... useful until you’re not.

In these situations, you’re no longer growing.

At some point, you gotta shift from “What’s wrong with me?”

Bc we’re done working inside systems that treat humans like data points with dopamine addictions.

Let's call out what's crippling our success:

→ Always-on anxiety
There’s no off-switch. Slack, LinkedIn, email, notifications... being "available" 24/7 really means that we don't rest & our focus is suffering the consequences.

→ Lack of stability
The job market screams “no great sellers out there!” while requiring 3–5 years of experience for entry-level roles. Then they throw you into a quota fire pit with zero training & call it “trial by fire."

→ Focus on compliance vs. coaching
Modern management looks like running reports, not developing people. The higher you climb, the lonelier it gets... no one’s helping you grow, they’re just relying on your pipeline.

→ Meeting overload
Most reps are booked back-to-back in “quick syncs” that steal their actual selling time. You end the day with 3 slides updated and 0 dopamine left.

→ Context switching
Slack, Gong, CRM, email, 47 tabs open. You’re running five marathons a day in your prefrontal cortex. And you wonder why you can’t focus.

→ System overload
Half your job is managing the tools that were supposed to make your job easier. The CRM has become a clingy ex that texts “update me” at 11PM.

→ Identity collapse
When your entire sense of worth is tied to a number, missing quota feels like moral failure. We’ve turned sales into a religion & quota into God.

→ Toxic Positivity
You’re not allowed to be tired. You’re supposed to “stay hungry,” “embrace the grind,” & “celebrate the small wins.” Congrats, you’re now a walking inspirational quote.

→ Spiritual dissonance
You got into sales because you love people, connection, storytelling. Now it’s all dashboards, templates, and “value messaging.” When can we admit this isn't fulfilling?

And honestly? He’s kinda right.

Back then I was “thriving”

Winning awards, posing with trophies, popping champagne like a girl boss on a mission.

But behind the smiles...

→ Eye bags for days
→ Skin dry enough to exfoliate a brick
→ Posture that looks more like performance
→ Hair dyinggg under all the bleach

And sure, I upgraded my skincare… (thanks k-beauty) but this was something DEEPER.

Back then I was surviving, not living.

After 5 years of recovering from burnout...

→ My nervous system is actually regulated.
→ I rest... regularly.
→ I'm not sprinting for validation 24/7.
→ My life supports my body instead of breaking it.

And apparently?

My face noticed.

→ Mindful Mondays & Flow or Follow-Up Fridays
→ Bi-weekly therapy (somatic + parts)
→ Cortisol-lowering 30-min meal prep
→ ADHD & chakra playlists for work sessions
→ Kitty snuggles aka avoiding slaps w murder mittens

And taking long walks around the city to snap pics of the prettiest flowers I can find.

It's rituals like this that allow me to not only FEEL good... 

But to do my very best work.
