Everyone's teaching AI to think like humans.
 
DeepMind did the opposite.
 
They taught it to dream like a system.
 
Most people see AI as the dreamer.
I see it as the mirror.
 
In 2016, AlphaGo made a move no human would make.
Move 37.
Game 2.
 
Experts called it a mistake.
It looked wrong.
Felt wrong.

I watched my AI agent do $2,400 worth of work 

while I sat at my daughter's gymnastics class.

No exaggeration.

I had this moment with my AI agent last week.

I was stuck in our CRM building a report.
The UI was clunky.
The conditional logic made no sense.
And every time GPT suggested a rule,
I’d check the dropdown and it simply wasn’t there.

So I opened the CRM inside Atlas.
I asked my agent what was going on.
It looked at the screen and said,
"You actually need an automation for clean data. Want me to build it?"

Sure. Go for it.

A few minutes later it’s clicking around.
Slowly, but with intent.
Doing something I’d never done before.
Something I’d have needed to learn.

And it worked.

So I queued another task.
And another.
And another.

Fast forward an hour:
I’m at my daughter’s gymnastics class

We complain when superhuman intelligence takes 20 seconds.

Think about how insane that is.

Kevin and I were testing a new model the other day. 

What hit us wasn’t the speed, or even the quality.  
It was the contrast.

One tab was instant, nuanced, deeply contextual.  
The other was still “thinking,” twenty minutes later.  

And that tiny gap?  
That’s the future sneaking up on us. 

We say, “this is the worst it’s ever going to be.”  
But tech doesn’t just go up and to the right.  
It gets better, then worse, then better again.  

Progress is lumpy.  
But directionally, it’s undeniable.

What impressed me most:  
→ It retained a huge amount of context  
→ It retrieved answers instantly  
→ The writing felt natural and precise

This is why people are excited.  
Not hype.  
Access.  

The point of access is where everything changes.  
When friction drops to near zero,  
behavior shifts overnight.  

The same way broadband unlocked YouTube.

And once that gap collapses,

 Designing AI Systems That Think With You

The person I feared becoming  

was the system I had already built.  

For years, fear drove the algorithm.

I thought I was improving.  
But I was automating limitation.  

“Not smart enough.”  
“Not ready yet.”  
“Not enough.”  

Each belief ran silently  
like legacy code I never refactored.  

It worked, technically.  
But it produced the wrong outcomes.  

I called it “humility.”  
It was just poor configuration.  

Every system runs on assumptions.  
Every leader runs on stories.  

If your inner OS says  
“I’m not capable,”  
you’ll filter out every signal that proves you are.  

If your process says  
“Wait until perfect,”
