I was hired to bring operational microfinance and mobile banking expertise to the founding team of an innovative microfinance model using mobile branchless banking. We successfully launched the pilot operations in Tacloban (Philippines) and operations have not expanded nationally.

- Testing and implementation of the integrated mobile front end and back office banking systems
- Production of all operational processes, procedures and tools 
- Trained all parties in the usage of the front and back office operations

My role was to lead the strategic direction and creation of an investment fund based on the Yunus Principles of Social Business. The aim of the fund was to develop and finance social businesses in Africa.

- The operational launch of the first social business center, located in Arusha (Tanzania) 
- The strategic definition of a village based social business model that included Agricultural loans and Healthcare insurance

The project is now part of the Impact Investing Program of the Monaco Venture Capital Association.

My role was to work in close collaboration with our local partner, the Makere Business Center, located in Kampala (Uganda) to help achieve our goal of getting SMEs started and financed. 

Key achievements: 
- Developed the framework for a service to facilitate cross border venture capital, organizing background checks, perform due diligence of SMEs, arranging contracts and monitoring the progress of local investments. 
- Generated qualified deal flow from Uganda, analysed business plans and prepared entrepreneurs for investment. 
- Actively participated in the “Ready 4 Equity” package for entrepreneurs.

Search used to be all about ranking on Google. It's time to consider how our client are being referenced by AI models and how to influence it.

This is what we know: 

LLMs need data. 

LLMs will rely on their internal knowledge base first and will only go find information on the web if they need to.

In practice this means that to start appearing in competitive LLM results you will need to publish for example: date sensitive data-base information, or answer complex searches (long tail), or provide insights on niche requests. 

Sounds easy, right ? 

Not quite. 

We do know that AI citations depend on three factors:

 • 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Does your content precisely answer the question?
 • 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Is your firm or author recognised as a trusted expert?
 • 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Can your insight be easily reformulated by the AI into a clear, structured answer?

AI authority signals a varied Google PageRank, Social Media, Media mentions, Community mentions ... So it does feel like you need to be "everywhere". 

Now, how can these new signals be applied to the fin.serv space ?

Being quoted in ChatGPT or Perplexity means your authorship and domain authority must be machine-readable. That means verified experts on LinkedIn, proper author schema, transparent about pages, and external signals like citations from reputable publications.

👉 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗵𝗼𝘄” 𝗮𝗻𝗱 “𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻” 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿.
AI models value clarity and structured reasoning. Articles that explain differences such as "“Independent advisor vs fintech platform: who provides better transparency for multi-asset portfolios?" are more likely to appear because they give the LLM actionable structure. It’s not storytelling; it’s structured reasoning.

And if you had to remember just one thing : AI Visibility will come from offering informational value that AI doesn’t already know.

Wealth firms can learn from the emotional pull of a brand like Ferrari by cultivating their own brand DNA. 

Know their origins and their values. 
Express them in every touchpoint. 
Move beyond describing features. 
Explain what it means to work with them.

From experience, clients respond to clarity and repetitive clues that signal a firm's brand values. This requires communicating with intention.
