This is the section, where I tell you about how my degree in computer science catapulted me into the world of tech right?

That couldn't be further from the truth,  I did a law degree at the University of Sussex, and realized very quickly that I didn't want to spend anymore time reading case law.

Worked for a large engineering company in London for a while, started moving up the corporate ladder, before deciding to relocate to Salt Lake City ( just to let everyone know there are far less pubs here)

I then found the world of technology and start ups & I haven't looked back.

I am extremely passionate about building relationships and tackling tough problems, specifically in the customer success and partnerships space.

I also have a personal interest in social impact and corporate social responsibility, so much so that I decided to start a business that focuses on B2B charitable gifting (check out Go Give)

Initially joined as head of international marketing in Ireland with responsibility all marketing activity and pipeline generation for EMEA and ANZ. Promoted to Chief Marketing Officer after 12 months, with responsibility for global b2b marketing including branding, messaging, demand generation social/digital, PMM, PR/AR, strategic planning. Working closely with sales and product teams, achieving a consistent 70% marketing lead contribution to new business revenue.

Datto provides data backup solutions for small businesses through a combination of cloud platform and local devices. Recruited to CMO role to elevate brand position in Managed Service Provider market and orchestrate an integrated marketing function across multiple countries. Exceeded target of 70% contribution to revenue through demand generation and close collaboration with sales teams. Through extensive marketing due diligence, was instrumental in achieving PE acquisition by Vista in 2017, setting a course for subsequent IPO in 2020.

Continuity provides SaaS-based regulatory compliance solutions for the financial services industry. As CMO, built a marketing engine to elevated the company brand and contribute to ambitious revenue growth goals. Established the company as a major player in the emerging Regulatory Technology market, achieving Inc. 500 company status and fastest-growing technology company in Connecticut.

Took some time to consult for businesses in the US and UK, focusing on messaging and positioning and establishing effective demand generation engines. Industries included managed service providers, unified communications, and business intelligence.

AppSense provides enterprise platforms and SaaS services that enable people to have a seamless experience across their personal and business devices. Recruited initially as head of product in UK, responsible for defining a packaged software solution, go-to-market planning across multiple revenue vehicles, pricing and competitive differentiation, penetration into EMEA geos. Promoted to VP worldwide marketing after 4 years with relocation to New York to help build the US business and base global marketing. Grew US from 30 to 130 employees in 2 years and expanded the US marketing organization to include field marketing, corporate communications, inside sales and marketing operations. Promoted to CMO after 2 years. Pioneered ‘User Virtualization’ market category, and through predictable demand generation and brand elevation, was instrumental in navigating a $70M investment by Goldman Sachs.

I’ve recently started working fractionally for a very cool tech working in the marketing AI space (beta coming soon!). 

I’ve been deep into building workflows and seen first-hand just how powerful this technology is when it’s pointed at the right problems.

But....although AI can generate content, run workflows, analyse patterns, and make decisions with zero ego, taking the busywork off our plates...

It can’t build trust.
It can’t create belonging.
And it absolutely cannot replace genuine human connection.

What I’m seeing, especially watching freelancers and small teams adopt agent-powered systems, is that the people who will win in this next wave aren’t the ones who know the most prompts.

It’s the ones who use AI to amplify their humanity, not replace it.

The ones who use agents to create space:
– to start better conversations
– to help others at scale
– to deliver their expertise with more clarity, empathy, and consistency

So yes, please embrace the tech. It's game-changing. Get your agents working for you. But don’t forget to build your circle.

Because in a world that’s getting noisier and more automated by the day, the most valuable thing you can offer is still the most human.
