Oversaw redevelopment of website to improve design, usability and content, resulting in a year-over-year increase in web site traffic.
Increased email list growth by more than 20% and implemented online communication options for public record comments.

Placed stories in national newspapers including a front page story in The Chicago Sun-Times and an in-depth article on the organization and its issues in The Los Angeles Times.

Responsibilities and highlights as Managing Editor on the Content team at Loom: 

- Developed, implemented, and managed an editorial calendar and related processes from concept to execution, including content scoring rubrics and detailed briefs that leveraged in-depth SEO research and intent to craft the most useful, expertly researched information for the target persona and audience.
- Hired and managed a team of three freelance writers and a copy editor, providing editorial direction and feedback on all blog posts. 
- Established a consistent blog post publishing cadence for the Loom blog based on leading industry standards to achieve 30% MoM blog traffic growth goal to drive product education and brand awareness. 
- Published 2-4 net new blog posts per week, and optimized/updated existing content based on performance analysis.
- Identified cross-functional content opportunities to highlight internal thought leadership on every team and share how Loommates use Loom video messaging in their workflows. Collaborated from start to finish with members of the Design, Product, Brand, Engineering, People, and Operations teams to create blog posts and socialize with the company through dedicated internal communications. 
- Cultivated external content partnerships with companies like Brandwatch, Hugo, Flockjay, & Doopoll.
- Worked autonomously and with the Marketing team/the rest of the company to create compelling, informative content about how asynchronous communication with video benefits individuals and teams that build and take products to market.

Envoy

In my role as Content Marketing Manager at Envoy, I co-managed the Envoy blog, where I wrote about where workplace experience, technology, and people intersect, through the lens of the all-important human elements. I also researched, wrote, and project managed customer stories and videos and ebooks.

Main responsibilities and highlights included:

- I created and hosted the podcast, Empowered: Envisioning Workplaces That Work, which explores what thriving, diverse, and innovative workplaces look and feel like, and what makes them work. The podcast considers what it takes to radically transform our workplaces in 30 - 40 minute interviews with workplace experience leaders, creative problem solvers, and other cultural producers.

- I conducted original research and initiated a survey of Gen Z respondents in the US about what they prioritize in their current or future workplace experience, and created a gated ebook with original analysis and interpretation of the survey findings.

- I researched and wrote an ebook on why diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) matter to workplace experience, with relevant, actionable ways to apply and support DEI efforts throughout a company to benefit employees and the business. This ebook is the top-performing gated asset to date, with 1,700 downloads within the first month of publishing.

- I also created and led Queer@Envoy, an employee resource group for LGBTQAI2S+ folks and allies to engage with and support the queer community at Envoy and our larger Bay Area community––not just during Pride, but all year round. Programming celebrated the breadth of queer cultural production, creativity, and community through intersectional and social justice-oriented community events, visits to local museums, local artists workshops, film screenings, and collaborations with Black-owned businesses.

In April 2019, I co-curated (with SFMoMA assistant curator of media art Tanya Zimbardo) a tribute to film legend Barbara Hammer (1939–2019). The program highlighted a selection of the artist’s early films rooted in the Bay Area, and was co-presented by Canyon Cinema in two sold-out screenings at the iconic Roxie Theater in San Francisco, CA.

Sarah Hotchkiss, Senior Associate Editor, included ‘Cinema of Intimacy’ as the "Best Memorial Screening For a Feminist Film Icon" in her KQED article, "The Best Art I Saw in 2019."

I co-curated a show, Material Futurity, that ran from Nov 8 — Dec 16, 2018 at the Law Warschaw Gallery at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.

Co-curated by Jehra Patrick, Law Warschaw Gallery Director and Curator, and Susannah Magers, an Oakland-based independent curator and writer, Material Futurity brings together contemporary artists from across the United States working in video, performance, sculpture, fiber, painting, digital projects, and mixed media. These artists’ practices prioritize re-working, mutability, potential, and fluidity—locating futurity, in conversation with the past and present, as a speculative and generative site.

Whether incorporating interdisciplinary or collaborative methodologies, appropriation, archival resource materials, or autobiographical narrative structures, this exhibition takes a humanist approach to imagine an abstracted, queer, and forward-looking space for inquiry and investigation. We see a common thread in process, with resistance to hegemonic or definitive outcomes, and a specific contextual commitment to intersectional, expansive approaches that critically imagine, access, or abstract the world we have as well as the world we want to live in.

Independent Curator 

Words matter. Behind every blog post, case study, ebook, landing page, customer story, perspective paper, and email is a considerable (though not necessarily visible) effort — a lot of content marketing, copywriting, and editorial work is. And it all starts with a well-designed, repeatable process.
 
I bring an inquisitive, inclusive, and creative approach to my content marketing, copy and content writing, and editorial practice. At companies like Blueboard, CallRail, Beekeeper, Envoy, and Loom I've produced and managed engaging, high-performing content of all forms and funnel stages. I’ve created a workplace experience podcast, founded a queer employee resource group, established cross-functional content programs, hired and managed freelance writers, and written and edited countless pages of high-impact content. 
 
Before pivoting into tech, I worked in the arts (mostly non-profit) for over a decade: first as a photographer after graduating from UC Santa Cruz, and then as a curator, exhibition and interpretation manager, and program director after earning a curatorial practice MA (the study and practice of exhibition making) from the California College of the Arts.  
 
Whether curating an exhibition or building a content marketing program from the ground up — I thrive on cultivating meaningful partnerships and scalable, low-friction frameworks. Informed by and in the spirit of my commitment to experimentation and exploration I work hard to create compelling stories that center diverse voices and perspectives and quality, brand-defining content that delivers actionable takeaways and centers and builds trust with the target audience. Intentional, collaborative tactics that call people in, maximize resource investment, and involve original research and data are my signature strengths embedded in everything I do.
