I specialize in working with medical practices and organizations helping them create positive, healthy workplace culture so they can navigate the high demands of medicine and taking care of patients.  I have the unique background of understanding all aspects of medicine and feel this experience has given me insight into how to help team leads, physicians, PA's and NP's become 100% healthy in their leadership ability and multiply healthy leadership in their practices. 

I also work with various other organizations and individuals helping them achieve higher levels of leadership.  The antidote for burnout is self awareness, better relationships and continued professional development and growth.  At a team level, this looks like improved, communication, relationships and achieving goals they set out to achieve.  I develop professional development plans tailored specifically to each organization.  Topics have included Work Life Balance, Burnout and Improved Communication to name a few.  

I also work with companies doing 360 Reviews, quarterly assessments, annual reviews and planning to help them set goals at each stage.

My Story is My Why
My background has led me to the purpose I have in helping VBC organizations.  As a practicing clinician, I saw the need to be creative and help patients as my cardiology patients wanted health and prevention instead of disease management.  I became a Health Coach as a result of that need and created a program to help my patients.  I fell in love with coaching and decided to start my business as an organizational leadership consultant in 2020 with the mission to help healthcare organizations drive better patient outcomes through development of healthy high functioning leaders.

Abstract:

That the outcomes of policy initiatives often diverge from initial policy intentions is widely known. In the realm of Educational Information a Communication Technology (ICT) policy, the extent to which policy agendas are realised is somewhat obfuscated the complex, and often politicised, educational environment. The ‘undefined something’ that causes policy misalignment has proven to be elusive. 

This thesis outlines the journey taken to develop, execute upon and refine a framework and methodological approach to examining where, when, how, and why a large educational ICT policy – the Australian Digital Revolution (DER) / National Secondary Student Computer Fund (NSSCF) – saw mutation (realignment / misalignment) of its policy agenda.  My approach was to blend the Actor Network Theory (ANT) for examining the macroscopic level of the policy environment (the structural relationships that made up the policy environment), with Luhmann’s Model of Autopoiesis for examining the microscopic level (the vectors between the actors which carry policy intent).  

Application of this new framework to the DER / NSSCF revealed several structures within the language of policy transmission that demonstratively gave rise to realignment, and thus mutation, of the original policy agenda. Furthermore, I identify how such policy realignment remains hidden from policymakers.

What I'm Doing Today?

As an Advisor (industry analyst) with IBRS, I strive to simplify the complexities faced by organisations when moving from the past 'desktop / office" business model to new innovative workplace models. 

I work with a diverse range of clients, helping them tease out what the future holds for their business and their staff. Then we get down to the nitty-gritty of how to get from now to the ideal future: the policies, tools, tech, governance, measures, and workplace changes needed. 

It is one thing to have a future-state vision.  It is entirely another thing to map out the path to get there!

What Does My Future Hold?

Change. That is one certainty. But I'm a scientific futurist. Tech changes are easy to plot & predict. It's the cultural side of the equation that is difficult to envision accurately. 

My goal is to continue creating clarity & offering pragmatic and implementable advice to business leaders looking towards the future.
