You've scrolled this far down so you're probably curious to know who I am, or just really bored. Here's a bio I wrote, with my own two hands, using the first person.  

I've worn many labels throughout my career: marketer, copywriter, manager, advertiser, funnel hacker, designer, community organizer, and even leader. I've worn them all with pride and responsibility.

I've moved through different industries and mediums, different team sizes and job titles, different sales strategies and customer profiles, B2C, B2B, C2C, C2B, B2C2B...

And while I suppose it doesn't bode well with your typical "niching-down" advice, the one thing that I do specialize in, is doing things that bring me joy. We spend a third of our awake adult life at work, might as well enjoy it. I certainly do.

Aside from the list you see below, I'm currently testing my love for words by doing creative non-fiction writing and training for an ironman in 2024.

Separately led a product team to create a customer facing application, aligned with the OpenMoney design and digital strategy, to replace the existing front end whilst delivering new features on top.

Project leading the format and delivery of the data and technical strategy for a data platform to drive analytics and AI models. Roadmap ownership, data playbook, training and methodologies, delivered first data product and built the data team.

Co-op Funeral Care project - Facilitating discovery and solution delivery to technically support brand/website redesign.

Principal Engineer

Co-op Funeral Care project to design the data strategy, develop pipeline workflows and modernise the approach of gathering and making sense of funeral home operational data. 

Led the architecture strategy for Co-op Funeral Care integration with Dynamics 365.

Co-op Funeral Care project to provide reliability engineering recommendations across people, process and technology for improving back end software and data capabilities during Covid-19.

Co-op Health project providing prescription order deliveries direct to the home.

Boohoo Group PLC

Project to research and develop improvements for Boohoo's supply chain leveraging Augmented Reality and Voice User Interfaces (AR/VUI).

Project with the IT and Buying team to create an in-house mobile application to coordinate and manage all buyer activity. Facilitated discovery, design approach, team formation and provided advisory services throughout development.

Noisy Cricket

Project discovery, design and assured delivery of a social venture platform to support those with experience in homelessness.

N Brown Group

Project to lead security, architecture and dev teams in the design and development of a new internal authentication and authorisation provider as part of a cloud replatforming initiative.

Project to guide the implementation of a microservices tech strategy and embed product development ways of working into existing dev squads by leading the development of the first microservice.

KCOM

Project to provide consultancy and training on Kubernetes best practices, technical architecture deep-dives, implementation considerations and options on approach for KCOM's internal teams.

I'm a former software developer, systems architect, 'head of', 'C' suite advisor and overall digital maker for too many years. I've made tech stacks and cultivated healthy teams for startups, non-profits, small businesses and globe spanning mega corps. My experience is drawn from diverse sectors such as finance, media, retail, food, education, government, socialcare, healthcare and deathcare. Guiding tech projects from uncertainty through to fully realised data products and services. Always in deeply technical roles and always with high stakes in play.
