Apart from being a key player in the local market, the firm operates via its offices located in such countries as Germany, Holland, Israel, Poland, the UK and the USA.

Thanks to my excellent linguistic skills, especially in English and Italian, I was employed as the representative of Italian and British markets. With regards to the British market, I was running the commercial activities with our counterparts based in Scotland. We had various reputable buyers such as Kellogg's.

As for the Italian part of the business, I was in close contact with Minini Imballaggi S.r.l., a family business based in Brescia, in North Italy. It has been Isbir's official distributor in Italy since 1990s. Over time I managed to build a sound relationship with them, eliminating the language barriers and taking advantage of all the instruments to facilitate our communication.

However, the most important aspect of this role was studying the product. Basically, the FIBC itself is a sophisticated product requiring a deep knowledge of many technical and scientific details. For that reason, this step involved a continuous cooperation with other stakeholders, in particular the tailors and the engineers.

Most importantly, three elements were key to my role: multitasking, time management, and ability to work under pressure.

Moreover, they import dental and medical products and sell them into the national markets. At Belmar, I seized the opportunity to see the aspects of foreign trade which are mainly the export & import process and documentation.

It is an interesting career path starting as a sales rep in packaging industry, doing Channel Operations for a long time at a NASDAQ-listed firm and now being back to sales as a BDR at a SaaS provider, which is the world's leading pricing solution, aka a one-stop shop for pricing. Maybe it is the twist of fate that packaging industry is only one of the numerous businesses it transforms. In simplistic terms, this 100% cloud-native solution is shedding light to the pricing journey of B2B & B2C enterprises of any size. 

On a day like this, it is agonizing for me to hear that even some companies with ten-figure revenues are still using nerve-wrecking error-prone manual processes to calculate their price lists, optimize prices or increase the sizes of their deals without realizing that wasted time is wasted money with margins slipping through their fingers, especially in today's new inflationary world.

At the end of the day, I feel delighted when I hold their hands and have them meet our subject matter experts to stop the bleeding in their bottomline, help them only make money and keep their pricing teams & salespeople more productive.
