Associate Researcher

Through Duke Science and society (scienceandsociety.duke.edu), I studied the humanistic and ethical roles of physicians through various medical humanities practices such as medical improvisation, mindfulness for practitioner and patient, and a study of the history of American medicine. 

This was the inaugural iteration of an intensive pre-med fellowship where each student journaled, shadowed non-physicians in the healthcare space, and reflected on the complex duty of being a caretaker in a modern environment where physician burnout is on the rise.

I am also an experienced data scientist with deep expertise distilling actionable business insights from raw product, customer, and marketing data. 

Leveraging SQL, Python, and many ETL and visualization tools of the modern data stack (e.g. Looker, Snowflake, dbt), I can both quickly build models and crunch numbers as well as translate those insights to senior leaders, including C-suite. I've worked at companies like Coinbase and Walmart, as well as high-growth startups like Pietra Studio (a16z-backed).

On the personal side, I've been a competitive powerlifter for a decade and have a passion for health and fitness. I also adopted the best 2 cats in the world, Tae and Snowflake, and am often pampering them or volunteering at my local animal shelter when I'm not in the gym or at work.
