Right audience on LinkedIn

I have been ghostwriting LinkedIn content for founders and Business owners for the last 3 years, but....


Every time I sign a new client, I get the fear...

Will I be able to do it?
Do I know their industry?
Will I be able to fulfil their expectation?

This fear is not because I am not skilled...
But because I care about them... 
Every client is important to me(whether big or small)...

Motivation didn't really change my path.
Purpose did.

For a long time, I kept chasing motivation.

A podcast while I go for a walk.
A quote saved on my phone.
A reel that hit hard for 30 seconds.

And yeah… it worked.
For a day.
Sometimes a week, if I was lucky.

Then real life showed up.

Pressure. Self-doubt.
And suddenly that motivation? Gone.

That's when it clicked for me -a slightly uncomfortable truth:

Motivation is nice to have.
Purpose is non-negotiable.

Motivation depends on how you feel.
Purpose doesn't.

Purpose is what keeps you showing up
- on the boring days,
- the slow days,
- the days when no one is clapping.

Purpose gives you determination.
Determination builds consistency.
Consistency compounds into success.

Not overnight.
Not loudly.
But reliably.

If your motivation keeps fading, don't look for louder encouragement.

Look for a clearer purpose.

Everything else follows....

A few months back, I was scrolling through LinkedIn randomly...
Probably the time when I was down with low reach and full of frustration...

So here's what happened. 

I was looking at two people in my feed - same industry, similar experience, probably equally talented. But one of them? Their posts kept showing up. The other one? I honestly forgot they existed until I saw their profile in my connections list.

And it hit me - the difference wasn't what they knew, it was how they showed up.

The first person wasn't posting anything groundbreaking. 
They literally just shared a lesson from a project that went sideways.

But the way they told it? 

You could feel the frustration, the lightbulb moment, the actual human behind the corporate speak. They ended with "still figuring this out tbh" and somehow that made me trust them MORE.

Meanwhile, person two was doing the whole "thrilled to announce" "delighted to share" robot routine. You know the vibe - sounds like it was written for a press release!!

Here's the thing that actually blew my mind: your LinkedIn brand isn't about being perfect or polished. It's about being recognisable. 

Like, when someone sees your post, they should think "oh yeah, this is something I can relate to"

Sharing the messy middle part and your struggles makes you more human.

This builds the much-needed credibility to your LinkedIn personal brand.


Anyway, thought I'd share because maybe you're also stuck in the "I need to sound professional" trap. Turns out professional just means being good at what you do - not sounding like a LinkedIn bot. That's it.
