The Paradox of Being Awake

Let’s use the label “spiritually awake”…
just for navigation.

The more “work” you do, the more “fixing” you do… 
even though there’s nothing to fix.

Aren’t we meant to be whole and complete?
And yet… there’s this need for more.

Sometimes we know what it is.
Sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we pretend we don’t know.

The paradox that’s often played out is this ↴
if you are spiritually awake, aware, conscious… you shouldn’t need anything anymore.

You’re sovereign, right?

Only… that’s not the truth.
In all this self-work, we forget that we’re human too.
Meaning all the human rules still apply.

Being awake doesn’t mean you stop needing the outside world.
It means you relate to your needs differently.

I keep hearing people say,
“You have to be content with everything you already have.”

And yet… I still miss something.
Something still calls.

Here’s where the paradox lives…
You can be awake and still feel incomplete.
You can be sovereign and still long for more… more life, more intimacy, more depth.

It’s never-ending (and it shouldn’t end).
𝗧𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The difference is…
There’s longing, and there’s lacking.

If you come from a place of lack, you live in deficiency.
If you come from a place of enoughness, you let the longing be part of your human experience.

There is nothing wrong with longing.
What matters is who’s holding it.

Even God (consciousness itself)… longed for more.

That’s why existence was born. 
IMO

“I am whole… and I still need.
My need doesn’t make me broken.
It makes me human.”
