I do it from my experience in this network, in which I have grown from 700 connections through my own method of organic growth.

While completing the second half of my Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Lund University in Sweden (2021-2022), I was hired by a startup in the health communication sector to work on their marketing strategy for the Spanish-speaking market.

Working with international teams around the world, I proved once again my ability to adapt to work with professionals from multiple backgrounds and backgrounds.

Developing the company's marketing strategy, I observed how practically all of my colleagues, clients and prospects in the network had incomplete or poor profiles that did not convey the reality of the people with whom I interacted.

I knew I had to start a business to help solve this problem.

And I jumped right into it, exploring the tool in depth while holding this part-time position and finishing my graduate thesis. I made this decision because LinkedIn is the main tool in social networks to find new job opportunities, clients in the B2B world and, in short, many other opportunities.

Therefore, having a serious digital imprint that explains who the professionals we meet in our professional life are, beyond their rigid CVs and incomplete profiles, is a task that I thought would add value for many.

As soon as I finished my Master in the summer of 2022 I decided to dedicate myself full time to continue growing the business opportunity that I identified.

This was the third master that I completed in my professional career. 

I started it at the age of 40, being the oldest in the class. Along with 61 other students from all over the world, I was accepted out of more than 1,500 applications. 

I considered it a privilege and it helped me make the decision to leave the Middle East, after almost a decade in the desert of the United Arab Emirates. 

The master was 1 year long and I did it in parallel to the part-time job I had at Kind and starting the construction of my current business. 

Also, being a mother of 2, I remember this time as a period of intense learning that catalyzed a new stage in my professional life. 

When I started the master I knew that when I finished it I would not look for a job, but I would establish my own business. It was what I wrote in my application.

 I was, then, already writing my destiny.

Being the center of operations for 52 professors and researchers from one of the world's leading universities was one of the toughest jobs of my career. And also one of the most satisfying.

He helped them manage the resources of their research projects, including budgets, personnel, and tools, simultaneously coordinating hundreds of activities for the highest levels of the academic world.

Working across multiple systems and platforms, across asynchronous time zones, and in the midst of the 202 pandemic made that role a fascinating and challenging juggling act.

Without knowing it, I was building the foundations of my current business in personal branding, since I became a coach for my teachers.

They took my suggestions and recommendations to develop their project strategies from an operational point of view. I created with them solid relationships of trust and quick understanding with minimal direction. It is what I do today in my company.

This work was key to being able to direct the personal brand strategy of dozens of clients around the world today, giving each one the same personalized and close treatment that each one deserves.

With what I learned then and the agile and flexible rhythm to which I got used to, I built the foundations that my activity needs today.

To this I added my knowledge in marketing and communications from previous positions because having a strong presence on LinkedIn requires both types of knowledge.

I was in charge of coordinating different urban security projects, mainly controlling the complex technical documentation they required.

Being my employer a government agency, I had to work with local and international teams for the daily execution of my tasks.

I learned technical details about a sector that I was unaware of but, above all, I collected multiple cultural lessons from the local scene in Abu Dhabi.

That position prepared me for the challenges of my later responsibility at NYU and helped me build professional relationships and friendships that continue today.

The value of the community that I built then was the basis of the part of my method dedicated precisely to the establishment of lasting links in this network.

While pregnant, I was commissioned to complete an ambitious project: the design and coordination of the production of a collection of accessories for this Spanish brand.

I not only needed to use my aesthetic background in design, but also my experience in project management to oversee production milestones and targets, as well as manage communication with suppliers in China.

The experience of completing ambitious goals in a short time was very satisfying.

I was in charge of managing the production of technical marketing proposals for multinational and government clients, coordinating the design, cost and production team.

Prepared million-dollar proposals that secured new accounts for the company, leading the pitching presentations to those who made the award decisions for the contracts.

I was also responsible for implementing many of the proposals we won, bringing ideas from the proposals to reality, orchestrating vendors and contractors of all kinds on projects that almost always had to be executed against the clock.

With this, my job was to provide 360º support during the complete cycle of proposals and projects, consolidating my profile as an integral project manager, from commercial design to execution and after-sales.

My first job in the Middle East, after moving from Barcelona to Dubai, was giving operational support to the office in the Emirates of a Catalan company that produces fragrances.

I was hired to act as the main point of contact between the main office and the Dubai branch, coordinating multiple projects and tasks that required effective collaboration between the staff of both locations.

Since then I began my work as an ambassador between different worlds, connecting common points, discovering synergies and facilitating communication to take advantage of opportunities.

I was also involved in the company's marketing actions, helping to expand the business in a growing market that required order and systematization to ensure the smooth running of operations.

Without a doubt, this was the most pleasant experience of my professional life before my current occupation. And they are similar: both are my ventures.

Croxé was born from a hobby of designing jewelry and grew into a business that eventually employed 15 people, exported to 25 countries and exceeded 7-figure sales in just a few years. 

My work focused on all the creative aspects of the company, from the design of the collections to the implementation of communication and marketing strategies.

We had a hectic calendar of international fairs that followed the different European fashion seasons, which forced me to execute permanent changes for new launches, and coordinate strategies for multiple markets.

That first company I launched in my early twenties kept me with an entrepreneurial spirit even as an employee. 

But, because my essence is that of an entrepreneur, today my personal brand business is greatly nourished by the first company I founded, Croxé.

I was commissioned to start an internet business from scratch: artelista.com. A website that today has more than a million works and 150,000 artists. I was the one who contacted and affiliated the first users and personally uploaded the first works.

Without knowing it consciously, since I had graduated very recently, I was already in my first "startup growth" job, coordinating business development and marketing strategies to achieve the objectives set before the launch of the web.

The result in just a few months was spectacular and the only reason I left that exciting job was because I decided to start my own company from a hobby that quickly turned into more profitable income than my salary.

Los reclutadores que desaparecen después de entrevistas no entienden algo básico:

El ghosting laboral es poco profesional y directamente irrespetuoso.

Lo que el candidato vive cuando no recibe respuesta:

😢Incertidumbre prolongada
😢Imposibilidad de cerrar ciclos
😢Esperanza que se desvanece lentamente
😢Sensación de que su tiempo no valió nada

Un simple email de 2 minutos marca la diferencia entre:

Y recuerda:

12 verdades incómodas que todo empleador debe leer: 

1. La confianza se nota a la legua; si tienes problemas con el trabajo remoto, lo que enfrentas es un problema de confianza, no de ubicación.

2. La cultura de una empresa no son sillas más cómodas, pizzas los viernes o membresías a un gimnasio. Se construye sobre valores y prácticas auténticas.

3. El pago justo es no negociable. Si no valoras a tus empleados como se merecen, alguien más lo hará.

4. El "micromanagement" es otro signo de falta de confianza. La productividad surge de la libertad y la autonomía.

5. Las acciones de los líderes deben reflejar los valores de la empresa. Se lidera con ejemplo. 

6. La salud y el bienestar de los empleados nunca deberían penalizarse con la deducción de sus vacaciones anuales.

7. Cuidar de tu equipo garantiza que ellos cuiden de tus clientes.

8. Un programa de incorporación robusto es necesario para que los nuevos empleados comiencen bien y puedan crecer. 

9. Tolerar y recompensar comportamientos tóxicos es el camino más rápido hacia la destrucción de la cultura empresarial.

10. Invertir en tus empleados desde el principio evita costos mayores a largo plazo debido al alto precio de la rotación.

11. La peor estrategia es esperar hasta que un empleado esté saliendo para ofrecerle mejoras salariales o promociones.

12. Si quieres fidelizar el talento, asegúrate de reconocer su valor desde el inicio, no cuando estén a punto de irse.

Cuál te parece la más importante? 

Cuando aprendes a comunicar tu valor con claridad, eliges mejor dónde trabajar y quién merece tu talento.

Tenía 23 años y una maestría.
Había servido mesas mientras estudiaba.
No sabía si aplicar a una oferta que descubrí.

Era una posición de desarrollo de negocio en una empresa líder online. No contaba con la experiencia que el puesto requería y por eso dudé en aplicar.

Pero el carácter que describían en la oferta era el mío.

💛 Había volado joven de casa para buscarme la vida.
💛 Sabía relacionarme con gente
💛 Aprendía rápido.

Al final, decidí postularme.

No se enfocaron en mi falta de experiencia. Se fijaron en mis actitudes. En mi potencial. Contra todo pronóstico, me dieron el trabajo.

Esa firma siguió creciendo, años después de que me fui. Llegó muy lejos. Nunca me sorprendió.

Porque cuando las empresas creen en lo que las personas pueden LLEGAR A SER, más allá de lo que YA HAN SIDO, son pioneras.

Y es que apostar por el potencial de otros antes que los demás tiene frutos incalculables. 

Todos ganan. 

Hoy sé que no tuve "suerte". Fue saber traducir quién era en valor para esa empresa. Era mi marca personal hablando por mi antes de saber que tenía una.

Tu marca personal es la diferencia entre quedarte afuera o que apuesten por ti cuando no tienes "todo" en el CV.
