Open Robotics

At Open Robotics, I was the "ROS Boss" of the Humble (LTS) release of ROS 2. This involved extensive collaboration with various stakeholders and the development of new infrastructure to streamline the release process.

To address a need in the testing process, I designed and implemented a Test Case Manager tool in Typescript. This tool automates the creation of test cases for different platform permutations and has been employed in several key releases, including ROS 2 Humble, ROS 2 Iron, and Gazebo Garden.

In addition to these responsibilities, I worked on various other projects that required a wide range of technical skills. These included debugging multithreaded executor issues, designing C++ client library features for Nvidia, contributing to NASA's VIPER mission, and integrating different UAV frameworks under a common API.

Robohub

As the Podcast Director at Robohub, I managed an international team and conducted over 100 interviews with key figures in the robotics field. The variety of our interviewees, from academics to industry leaders, allowed us to present a comprehensive view of the sector.

I led the team in expanding our podcast's monthly listenership from 2k to 120k and secured $20k in academic sponsorships. This growth and financial support helped to sustain our operations and extend our reach.

During my tenure, we produced and released 160 podcast episodes. This consistent output, combined with our increased listenership and financial support, illustrates my focus on steady growth and commitment to sharing knowledge in the robotics community.

It is led by a board of industry experts, all working to fulfill the PRN vision of making the Pittsburgh robotics ecosystem the largest and most advanced in the world.

Pittsburgh robotics companies are leading the future of robotics - not just locally, but globally. With 100+ member organizations, the PRN brings them together and supports them by bringing well-deserved visibility to their work - visibility that is critical to the success of both our members and the region as a whole.

Future Grind is focused on exploring the possibilities, ethics, and implications of emerging science and technology. We wish to increase technoliteracy by democratizing access to science and technology, and we strive to welcome more voices to these conversations. As a podcast, Future Grind features in-depth interviews with innovators and thought leaders that are working to build our future. Artificial intelligence, robotics, human augmentation, space exploration, and the societal ramifications of these advancements are frequent topics of conversation.

Future Grind also live-streams virtual reality content to examine the ways in which immersive, room-scale virtual experiences can be used for entertainment, education, and escape.

Lifespan.io is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and we rely upon an international team of journalists, scientists, content creators, and other industry experts who are focused on aging research and promoting healthy human longevity through the development of rejuvenation biotechnology and regenerative medicine. To achieve this goal our news outlet publishes daily news stories,  our team creates educational videos, we host conferences and events to bring researchers and public together each year, we launch crowdfunding campaigns for research, and engage with policymakers and the general public.
