Another week managing campaigns, and here is what the numbers looked like.

Across the portfolio, we managed $100K+ in weekly spend and generated strong returns across every channel. The biggest win came from a Black Friday strategy that almost nobody runs, even though the economics are wild when you see it in motion.

Two weeks before Black Friday, we shift 30 to 40 percent of daily Meta ad spend into pure lead generation: no purchase objective, no sale attempt. The only goal is pushing high-intent prospects into Klaviyo with an early access promise for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This flips the entire logic of Q4.

While other brands spend $40 to $50 to acquire a customer in the most competitive window of the year, we acquire email leads for $1 to $1.50, and those leads convert inside Klaviyo instead of inside Meta.

CBD for Life is the best proof from this week.
- Pulling leads in at $0.83/lead
- Added more than 1,500 new people to the list already
- 22% have converted from the very first email before their early access offer even goes live

When the full Black Friday flow hits, the projected conversion rate is 47%. Their normal acquisition cost is around $50. With this system, the effective CPA drops to roughly $11.

If you turn Meta into the traffic source, you turn Klaviyo into the acquisition engine.

You collect cheaper leads and you convert them at scale, and you walk into Black Friday with a list that is already converting, instead of an ad account that bleeds for every purchase.

Too often, I see brands scale ads before they understand the business.
That is why their CAC spikes, their margins collapse, and every month feels unpredictable.

Static ads get clowned on, but they absolutely print when the angle is right.

I pulled five statics from five different brands, and added up the revenue from the last 90 days: $728K.

These angles worked because they matched real buying behavior, not the polished concepts teams pad their decks with.

I never grew up with strict expectations.

No one hands you the green light; you earn it by moving anyway.

They’re the ones who stay curious long enough to find a better one.

Questioning the rules means staying aware of what everyone else ignores.
Teachers, bosses, mentors, none of them have the full picture.

In a world built on templates and trends, curiosity is still the only real unfair advantage.

Too many people wait for permission while curious people look for answers.

There’s a quiet kind of fear that comes when success stops feeling like progress.

You’re not failing, exactly. The numbers look fine, but the work that once energized you starts to feel heavier.

That’s where I’m at right now with Pinkberg.

After years of building the agency, I’ve hit the point where growth isn’t the issue anymore. It’s the weight that comes with keeping it.

Managing clients, juggling expectations, putting out fires.
For every great partnership, there are seven more that drain the life out of you.

That moment teaches you the difference between exhaustion and misalignment.
The business outgrew the version of you that started it.

So, this year I’m making the pivot that scares most operators:
Trading the constant noise of agency life for something more scalable, more creative, and a lot more uncertain, our first SaaS product.

There’s no perfect time to do it. You just reach a point where staying the same feels riskier than the change itself.

I don’t know exactly how it’ll turn out, but that’s what keeps it exciting, because at some point uncertainty stops being the enemy and starts being the only way forward.

Nobody talks about how strange the middle feels.

At the start, everyone cheers you on. You’re chasing something new, and it’s exciting to watch. When you make it big, people suddenly respect it, even if they don’t understand it.

But the middle? That’s where it gets quiet. You’re not at the bottom anymore, but you’re not “there” either. You’ve said no to friends, skipped plans, and built walls just to keep momentum. Then one day you look up, and half the people you used to know don’t recognize your life anymore.

It’s not your ego, but it is your evolution. You change, your goals change, and the people around you don’t always come with you. You start craving conversations with people who get the weight of growth, not the highlight reel; the real grind behind it.

That’s the part nobody warns you about. The middle isn’t failure or fame; it’s the space where you outgrow comfort and start becoming who you said you wanted to be.

Most people treat money like it’s Monopoly, and then taxes show up and reality hits.

Tax refunds are not free money; they happen when you overpay. The government gives your money back, interest-free. People who understand this aim for small refunds or a bill at year-end because their cash stayed in the business working.

“The rich don’t pay taxes” is a slogan for people who only look at a paycheck stub. They miss business tax, payroll tax, sales tax, product tax, property tax, and inheritance tax. They miss the structure, and they definitely miss how companies legally sequence income, expenses, and investments. If you do not study the rules, you will keep assuming headlines are the whole picture.

The victim mindset is expensive. My default when something goes wrong: what did I do, and how do we fix it? That posture scales a business; blame does not. Learn the rules, build systems, and improve the operation.

If schools taught financial literacy, that would help, but it will not save you. Adults do not get homework reminders; you either go learn on your own, or you get crushed by bills, penalties, and bad decisions.

If you run a business, get the basics right:
1. Know revenue versus profit.
2. Budget for taxes quarterly.
3. Separate accounts and clean books.
4. Expect chargebacks and liability.
5. Hire a real CPA and listen.
6. Put money to work, not on your wrist.

Own your numbers, understand the rules, and use them legally to build something that lasts.

Stop treating ROAS like it means your client is actually profitable.

That’s the lie most agencies still tell themselves.

They brag about 4x ROAS but ignore the fact that their client’s cash flow is tanking.

ROAS is a platform metric, not a business metric.
It doesn’t account for COGS, shipping, creative, or the $30K your client just blew on UGC that didn’t convert.

That’s why we stopped being “the Meta ads guys” and started operating full-funnel.
If you only control the ads, you’re gambling your success on a small piece of a much bigger machine.

The real leverage comes from two places:
1. Creative that converts
2. Email that retains

Creative is expensive and inconsistent. Email isn’t.

Email is cheap, predictable, and instantly improves ad performance.

It’s the one lever that multiplies results across every channel.

If you care about profit, not vanity metrics, you need to control the backend too.

Otherwise, you’re not running strategy, you’re just renting attention.

The loneliness tax founders talk about isn’t real.

You start chasing freedom (time, money, control), then one day you wake up and realize your life runs on obsession.

What used to feel like effort becomes identity.
You skip dinners and weekends, not to suffer, but because momentum feels better than comfort.

That’s the shift nobody talks about.

Founders love to say they’re ignoring their 20s to live comfortably in their 30s, but once you wire yourself to build, there’s no going back.

Even when the money shows up, you keep looking for the next hill to climb.
That’s why so many operators feel lost after an exit: they think they’ll finally relax, but what they really lose is the feedback loop.

Building changes how you process progress.
Silence feels like failure. Stillness feels wrong.

You didn’t lose your old life, you outgrew it.
You don’t “integrate your life back” once you make it; you build a new one around who you’ve become.

The loneliness tax isn’t real.
It’s the cost of evolution, and most people aren’t built to pay it.

BURNOUT FADES, BUT THE REWIRING DOESN’T. The founder's evolution no one talks about.

Too many brands treat Meta and Google like identical twins.
Here are 4 of the most common mistakes that can cost you THOUSANDS in ad spend.

1. INTENT TIMING IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
→ Google: Problem-aware (actively searching for solutions)
→ Meta: Solution introduction (interrupting daily scroll patterns)

2. ATTRIBUTION WINDOWS VARY SIGNIFICANTLY
→ Google removes returns from conversion data
→ Meta doesn’t — it keeps original conversion counts
→ Both now operate with similar attribution windows

3. TRACKING CAPABILITIES HAVE DIFFERENT STRENGTHS
→ Google = analytics depth for full customer journeys
→ Meta = sharper ad-to-purchase attribution
→ Google captures on-site behavior Meta can’t see

4. BUDGET ALLOCATION SHOULD REFLECT PLATFORM STRENGTHS
→ 75% Meta for cold, top-of-funnel acquisition
→ 25% Google for warm, problem-aware audiences
→ Adjust between 90/10 and 60/40 based on business maturity

Stop blending strategies across platforms.
Meta and Google run on different operating systems.

Every time I go to an industry event, I’m reminded how easy it is to chase noise instead of fixing what matters.

I was at a mastermind last week: no selling, no pitching, just talking shop. These kinds of trips are a reminder that most founders show up chasing new ad tricks when they should be fixing the foundations that already drive profit.

The real work happens BEFORE the event. You need to know what problem you’re actually trying to solve, which systems are broken, and what progress would even look like 60 days from now.

If you walk in without that clarity, you’ll leave with more ideas than direction, and that’s where people stall out.

Before you book another mastermind, make sure your ducks are in a row.

Every time Meta changes something, the internet loses its mind.

A new algorithm rolls out, AI touches ad delivery, and suddenly everyone’s convinced performance is doomed.

All this panic misses the point. The platform will always evolve, not by accident, but by design.

Trying to fight every change is like arguing with gravity: you’ll lose every time.

Too many founders spend more energy resisting updates than adapting to them.
They forget the goal isn’t to beat the system; it’s to work with it better than everyone else.

Meta’s AI tools are a testing ground for everything that will shape ads over the next few years.
Half the features that frustrate advertisers today will define how we all run campaigns tomorrow.

Stop worrying about what the algorithm might do next and start paying attention to what your customers are already doing now.

Adapting faster than everyone else is the job. Don’t forget that.

Great product. Solid ops. Growth moving in the right direction.
Then they listened to the wrong advice, and everything stalled.

Nothing changed in the product.
The customers didn’t disappear.
