But most people are setting it up wrong.

Here's what actually matters: You can now combine incremental attribution with value-based bidding strategies like Cost Per Result Goal and ROAS Goal.

This wasn't possible before. Meta forced you into standard attribution when using value-based bidding. Now you get both.

**Why this combination is powerful:**

When your ad account goes haywire, every second counts.

Here’s the no-fluff, battle-tested system to stop the bleeding, stabilize, and keep your P&L safe—before Meta support even replies.

→ 0–5 min: Contain

Set an Account Spending Limit (ASL) right now. This is your emergency brake. When Meta’s “Pause” button lags, only an ASL can slam the door on runaway spend.

Switch to Manual Placements. Deselect “Ads on Reels” if you see wild spikes with no results. This is not the same as “Reel ads”—the difference matters.

Pause the ad set(s) that are burning cash. Duplicate them into drafts so you don’t lose your settings or creative. You can relaunch later, but right now, you need to stop the fire.

Turn on all spend alerts—email, app, whatever Meta offers. You want to know the second things go sideways.
