Hi, I’m Asif, a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional and an entrepreneur from heart.

I have 12+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Audit and Tax. I have worked with organizations like EY, Citi and Pfizer.

Professionally my interests lie in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and in my current role with Coursera, I'm responsible for Planning. Budgeting and Forecasting for India and APAC. 

In my previous FP&A roles at Citi, Pfizer and Great Learning I partnered with  finance and business leaders on various projects.

Before Citi, I worked with EY as an Audit Executive. I was responsible for planning, executing and concluding audits for listed companies.

This unique blend of experiences in FP&A and Audit, has allowed me to develop an holistic understanding of how businesses function.

Day 2 - Setting Up Claude Inside Excel

Today we move from theory to setup.
If you want to use Claude with Excel, this is the step that unlocks everything.

Here’s what we cover:
• How to create your Claude account
• Why you may need Claude Pro ($20/month) for the Excel add-in
• How to install the Claude for Excel add-in and connect it to excel.

⚠️ Important: If you’re using a company laptop, check your IT policy before installing any AI tool. I strongly suggest starting on your personal device.

Once installed, Claude appears inside Excel as a chat panel.
That’s where the magic begins.

- Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively thru SWIFT payment factory setup for the shared service center
- Develop daily plans in coordination with A/R and A/P to optimize cash position of the company
- Predict cash requirements and cash position through analysis of needs and proceeds
- Analyze cash flow mechanism of the company and prepare monthly cash mgt dashboard
- Create new systems to optimize cash inflow from different business activities and reduce the risk of credit losses
- Update accounting systems (SAP) for daily financial transactions
- Execute and resolve any issues related to foreign currency exchange
- Liaise with banks to address any account issues and queries
- Develop financial reports to assist management in making appropriate decisions regarding major payment and foreign exchange plans

Cash Management

- Using SAP, apply a large daily volume of funds, wire payments after accurately identifying the specific customers’ appropriate account
- Using the SAP system automated processes, continuously identify opportunities to improve the smart match function 
- Investigate unspecified credits to determine the accurate payment application
- Identify short payments and classify accordingly, notify customer support to address with customer
- Reconcile bank deposits and SAP balances through automated processes and resolve any exceptions 
- Coordinate collection and resolve delinquent accounts as necessary
- Perform credit analysis for open account customers

Cash Applications & Credit

Maintained & operated the bank's internal systems and controls to help detect, monitor and report money laundering activities to internal and external authorities

I am a corporate treasury & cash management, cash applications and credit- professional with extensive experience performing the primarily treasury responsibilities for group of companies under shared service concept with local and international institutions, customers and service providers. The duties I have successfully performed included cash management, SWIFT infrastructure deployments, cash mgt automation projects, cash applications, customer credit analysis and collection, dashboarding and reporting, I have also performed bank account administration, card program administration, bank fee and card use analysis and also provided support to cross functional areas in A/R and A/P under SAP/MS Dynamics as ERP platforms. I have also led various ad hoc projects for the head of cash management and the Treasurer.
