Few people have been both a successful venture-backed CEO and a global B2B brand leader.

Hi 👋 I’ve been both.

Today, I advise founders in relentless pursuit of their vision. Here’s why they choose to partner with me.

As founder and CEO of my own SaaS startup, Casted, I raised $13 million across three rounds of venture funding. I created a new category in B2B marketing, built a multi-million-dollar business, and led enterprise deals with Salesforce, HubSpot, IBM, Gong, and dozens of other B2B brands and VC firms — all during one of the most volatile periods in tech. (Looking at you: Covid, SVB collapse, workplace culture, and wild shifts in economic and political climates.)

Before that, I was Global VP of Brand and Content and Director of Marketing for North America at a global tech company. I launched a global brand, event, and content strategy that directly preceded the company’s acquisition by SAP. (Go ahead and try to tell me brand doesn't matter.)

I’ve also worked with iconic brands like LinkedIn, L’Oréal, Intel, and Drift — always focused on turning bold ideas into human-centered brands that people know, like, trust, and buy from.

My career has always been defined by one thing: human-centered brands as a strategic driver of business growth.

Today, I work with early-stage founders who want that same brand clarity from the start. I help them embrace their vision, define their purpose, and build personal brands that function as business strategy. My work isn't based on trends or theory, but on hard-won experience.

I’ve been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, NPR, and Entrepreneur. I’ve appeared on 500+ podcasts and spoken on stages around the world, including SXSW and INBOUND. I also co-lead a global community of more than 1,100 executive GTM women: Women of Pavilion.

It was a joke. Can't you take a joke? You're overreacting. Why don't you smile more?

You've been there. I've been there. 
It happens to executive teams and hockey teams
It may come from your boss, your colleagues, or your president.
On behalf of your country or your community.

But none of that will ever make it OK. 
Making light of the achievements of women is not funny. It's not a joke and I'm not laughing. And if you are - that says a lot more about you than it does about me.

When will we stop belittling the achievements of women? Calling them cute, less-than, or good ...for a woman? 
When will we stop excusing the bad behavior, emotional tirades, and immature unprofessionalism of so many men in leadership positions they should not hold (and, yes, some women - and no, not all men) while simultaneously pointing to women as emotional, weak, too nice but also too bitchy, and generally not-quite "enough"? 

When will we stop being told to smile more? To take a joke? To relax? To not be so sensitive? 

When will there be consequences for the "jokes", the comments, the belittling. When will the ascension of these bros in spite of their foolishness, lack of EQ, and general mysogenistic crappiness end? 

*sigh*

And I'll leave you with my personal favorite from when I was the CEO and founder of my own company. Someone (he knows who he is) said to me in response to a situation when I was angry as I questioned his behavior, "I don't want to be a stereotypical man telling you're being a crazy woman, but, Lindsay, you're being crazy." 

I wasn't being crazy. I wasn't being emotional. I being aware and I was right. 
And I was justified in my anger then as so many others are today. 

Make it stop.

You can’t be a visionary from a place of fear.
Vision needs hope. Energy. Imagination. 🌅 

To lead with vision is to see something others can’t (yet).
You have to believe in something brighter.
Even if it feels far away.
Even if people call you naïve. 

The truth is:
Most visionaries don’t get applause at the start.

They get side-eyes.
Concerned advice.
And a whole lot of:
→ “That’s not practical.”
→ “Why would you risk that?”
→ “That’s just not going to work.” 

Visionary leadership doesn’t come from reacting to the world. It comes from reimagining it. 🛠️💡
