Apache Flink is a stateful stream processing engine and designed to provide reliable stream processing. It does store the state of all the operators locally on the execution nodes for fast access of stateful operations. Although it does provide good performance for applications with small state or computation requirements but it lacks the performance for application with huge state size. For example when we need to reconfigure the application e.g. scale out as it has to move the individual states to distributed file system and redistributed it to the new nodes. 

We are exploring the possibilities of decoupling and externalizing state from local stream compute nodes while maintaining the same consistency guarantees provided by the underlying, orthogonal snapshotting mechanism.

DiLLaS is an IoT and Blockchain solution that offers a new and unique view on shipment events data for logistics companies and their partners. These views create a detailed insight and transparency of significant security and safety events during the shipment. Additionally, by storing them in the distributed ledger, a trusted and decentralized recollection of the events of the shipment is created. I worked on 
--Setting up blockchain (hyper ledger fabric block), 
--Implementing authentication and authorization (google OAuth 2.0 and JWT)

What an incredible experience at the Kolomolo AI Business Value Hackathon! 

I am thrilled to share that our team (SunStreet Energy AB) won second position at the 2-day Kolomolo AI Business Value Hackathon, hosted at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Sweden HQ. 

But what really stayed with me was what people are building.

Not just chatbots...

Agentic workflows.
AI-first interfaces.
Systems where AI does the work… and humans validate.

One team reimagined ticket management.
AI handled routing, summaries, next steps.
Humans only reviewed.

Another showed an HR use case.
Staging roles automatically matched with the right candidates.

We even saw a vibe-coded platform for a vibe-coded platform.

And the Tele2 example was powerful. 

A long internal process… cut down to something dramatically shorter. 

From months and a team of developers, designers, QAs and projects managers to delivery in hours by designer. 

Not because of automation alone.

But because the workflow itself was redesigned.

That’s the shift.

AI isn’t just helping work.

It’s reshaping how work is structured.

Our team built a predictive model that leverage public energy data, and market data, generates forecasts with automated explanations.
