Back in 2024, I spotted a problem hiding in plain sight: independent historic houses — often more personal, more special, and more innovative than their nationally owned counterparts — were hard for visitors to find. And for the houses themselves? Standing out, selling tickets, and keeping pace with modern business demands was an uphill battle.
The solution? HeritageXplore — a digital platform making it effortless for people to discover and book Britain’s most remarkable independent houses, while giving those houses world-class events, business development support, and a boost in ticket sales.
From mapping the first network of estates and curating unforgettable experiences, to building a booking engine that serves both sides, with my team we've taken an idea and turned it into a movement — one where every visit helps independent heritage survive, thrive, and inspire for generations to come.

Founder at Feragaia ~ defining quality in the world of No/Low Spirits

Seven years ago we launched Feragaia. Going down the 0.0% route allowed us to widen the goalposts, giving more people access to standout brands distilled in Scotland’s most inspiring places. We’re still early in the journey, but I’m proud of how far we’ve already come.

I am now DELIGHTED to announce we have partnered up with the brilliant team at R&B Distillers. This is a very exciting moment for all of us at Team Feragaia.

At Raasay, we are all about creating spirits that are accessible, enjoyable and fun for all, so to join forces to elevate the no and low drinking experience is an exciting chapter for us.  Feragaia's core values align perfectly with ours - together, we’re proud to be leading Scotland’s new wave of spirits, driven by authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Founded in 2019 by Jamie Wild and Bill Garnock, Feragaia became Scotland’s first working 0.0% ABV distillery in 2022 and proudly achieved B Corp accreditation the same year. Crafted from 12 botanicals, five grown at its own Fife nursery, Feragaia has a complexity that invites you to pause. To reconnect. To appreciate the people around you and the ground beneath your feet.

Today we are raising a glass (of 0.0%, of course) to this partnership with their signature serve, The Sober Scotsman:

50ml Feragaia, plenty of ice, topped with ginger ale and a slice of lime. For a zero-sugar alternative, swap ginger ale for soda water.
