Ten years ago, Crisp started with a simple idea: put a chat bubble on websites so companies and customers could talk to each other.

Today, more than 200 million people interact through multiple channels every month.

But something changed recently: AI exploded.

Every SaaS company started adding AI features and we did the same.

But very quickly, we realized something uncomfortable.

Our product wasn’t built for this new era: for years we had improved our chatbot system.

Workflows. Automations. Knowledge base search.

Then LLMs arrived. We added AI replies. Smarter routing. More intelligence.

But under the hood, it was still the same architecture: A workflow system trying to host AI.

At some point we had to face reality: You don’t build an AI-native product by stacking AI on top of legacy logic.

So we made a difficult decision, Instead of patching the product… We rebuilt it:
- New architecture.
- New agent system.
 - New chat widget designed for AI conversations.

A new way to separate human conversations from automated ones was born and the goal wasn’t to build a “smarter chatbot”.

Octoly raised 9M€ in Serie A funding in 2017 (Havas, Otium Venture, Twins Partners). 

- Acquisition - Led the influencers acquisition efforts starting Jun. 16 - up to a community of 14k signup  influencers on Instagram and YouTube in five countries, vetted according strict processes.
- Marketing - Designed and implemented the marketing & content strategy for our 5 operating countries. Responsible for inbound share within the New Business MRR.
- Retention - Designed and improved users onboarding and reactivation processes to increase activity rate and perceived value of the platform (both for influencers and brands).
- Operations - Built and supervised a growth team up to 5 people and led the launch of marketing operations in Spain (July. 17), Germany and Italy (Sept. 18).

In 3 years, we built a marketplace connecting  more than 300 brands with 14k influencers in 5 countries (France, United States, Spain, Germany and Italy). On the brand side, we were selling Saas subscriptions to beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands. Octoly raised 1,2M€ early stage in 2015 (Otium Venture). 

- Preparation and launch of the marketplace in September 2015 and kept weekly reporting of marketplace KPIs                                                                                                                               
- Business Development: supported sales team efforts for our first go-to-market into beauty french companies
- Inbound Marketing (up to 20% of New Business MRR) and led Demand Generation organization
