Fresh out of school, I landed a dream role in Chrysler's high-potential design program. By day, I was designing cars; by night, earning my Master's degree. I thought I was set to change the industry.



But reality slapped me hard. I was hired for my "out-of-the-box" thinking, yet every time I challenged the status quo, the message was clear: Get back in the box.



The breaking point came in 2005. Our team had one goal: match Toyota's quality numbers. I asked what I thought was obvious: "Why aren't we aiming to beat them?" My boss gave me a glare: "Christine, you're so idealistic." Translation: Know your place.



That was the day I realized—if I wanted to unlock human potential instead of suppress it—I'd have to step out of that box entirely.



In 2008, I launched Leader In Motion™ because the definition of leadership needed a serious facelift. Too many people were being managed by bosses who suppressed potential instead of unlocking it. I wanted to change that.        



For over 17 years, I've led change in tandem with executives and teams at McCormick & Company, Vanguard, Stone Point Capital, OMERS Pension Fund, Oxford Properties, WiltonRe, and Scotiabank. 



I'm a keynote speaker, executive coach, and bestselling author of Too Busy to Be Happy—giving professionals practical tools to reclaim their time without sacrificing performance. I also write The Whipp, a weekly newsletter sharing leadership insights with thousands of professionals navigating the real, messy work of leading others.
