Claude just announced Claude Code Security...and I have several questions!

The solution page is very careful in the language they used about types of things they detect, seems they want to focus more on non-pattern matching issues.

Which I get; Claude is getting pretty good at reasoning with 4.6.

But why stop there?

Why not tackle the pattern matching / SAST / SCA type issues too?

Are they afraid of pissing off the cybersecurity vendors in the space? Not better to partner with them and cover both sides of the coin at once?

I really like where Claude Code is heading with this Security capability, but it seems like they are only addressing one small part of the problem and forcing AppSec teams to add another tool at a time when everyone is trying to slim down the amount of tools.

Maybe I'm just missing something 🤔
