Program Officer, Fellowships

Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Reagan-Fascell Fellowship program, an international exchange program bringing democracy activists and scholars to Washington, DC.  
Serve as Alternate Responsible Officer.
Coordinate promotional efforts for the program.
Organize fellows' orientation and receptions.
Co-organize program events including workshops, seminars, and field trips.

Facilitated the selection and invitation of outside speakers to campus; made logistical arrangement for speaker visits including dinners; chaired selected talks and Q&A sessions.

Awarded Dean's Teaching Fellowship to design and teach a first-year seminar entitled "The Limits of Tolerance? Immigration, Nation-States, and Islam in Europe" in Fall 2014.  Awarded Dean's Teaching Prize for updated version of course in Fall 2016.

I have over a decade of experience cultivating resilient learning communities that respond effectively to global challenges. As a fellowship and international exchange program administrator for 7+ years, I've guided mid-career professionals conducting research addressing democracy challenges and governance issues. With a doctorate in Political Science, I also taught undergraduate courses in comparative politics and public policy as a teaching assistant and instructor across six semesters between 2010 and 2016. 

I thrive on connecting with people as individuals regardless of their experience level or cultural background. My strengths include bridging the academic and policymaking communities, providing constructive feedback on written work and presentations, offering strategic guidance and valuable connections, and helping people overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.

I'm passionate about democracy and human rights both at home and around the globe, and consider myself a lifelong learner. I'm currently looking for roles in the non-profit and/or academic administration sphere, particularly in program management, leadership development, international exchange, global education and training.
