Salience Search Marketing

I am responsible for developing and executing strategic Paid Search and Social Media campaigns that align with client objectives and drive optimal results.

This involves engaging with clients to understand their business goals, target audience, and competitive landscape. Comprehensive data-driven strategies are then developed that deliver measurable results and drive meaningful outcomes.

I also act as the Account Manager for client accounts within my portfolio, holding regular account check-ins along with campaign performance reporting.

Paid Media Strategist

The Drum

Event producing and managing for The Drum. This includes The Drum Awards, The Drum conferences (festivals & summits) and The Drum's live pop-up TV shows. My main focus is working on The Drum's EMEA events.

A key area is to organise and deliver high-quality events for The Drum and its customers, whilst achieving financial targets and KPIs. The role also involves coordinating high-profile judges, running judging sessions, as well as broadcast production elements such as creating TV running-orders, scripts and purposing video content.

Events examples include; The Drum at Cannes (Cannes-Do), The Drum Media Summit, The Drum Awards for Marketing (EMEA), The Drum Awards for Online Media, and The Drum Live.

Event Producer

Product & Marketing Coordinator for The Drum’s event team. This involves overseeing and coordinating all efforts that go into The Drums events, summits, awards and TV (product activations). 

These coordination elements are; event planning, conducting research, marketing promotions (digital, content, B2B marketing), creative strategy, sales materials, pricing, location, format, product specifics and development, coordinating internal teams, building timelines and schedules, creating coordination documentation, etc. Additionally, I create and optimise paid social media campaigns.

Other areas of involvement are; analysing and developing company-wide processes, a US growth strategy, event floor management, competitor analysis, etc.

I conduct freelance digital marketing, advertising and design work for small businesses that need these bespoke services. 

Services provided are; online creation of branding materials such as logos, social media banners, print leaflets (graphically designed online), online brochures, paid Facebook and Instagram adverts, social media campaigns and organic social media posting.

Marketing Specialist

My role involved creating, developing and optimising digital advertising campaigns for clients. I specialised in optimisation techniques such as spit advert (A/B) testing, Facebook pixels and retargeting resulting in better advertising campaign results.

As an account manager, I was the point of contact for the client accounts in terms of pitching advert proposals, holding regular account check-ins and building campaign reports. During proposals, I would develop a paid media strategy to make sure advert results met the client's goals and results kept improving over time. 

Additionally, I briefed and collaborated with internal teams to help develop graphics and other creatives.

I left the company due to wanting to develop my knowledge, skills and network further by attending university to gain a Marketing Management degree.

I was conducting freelance social media marketing and advertising (mainly organic). I was outsourced due to the company wanting improvements with their digital marketing profile. Occasional graphic design was also conducted for print media as well (such as leaflets).

Social Media Marketing Specialist

I initially started as an organic social media advertiser, which mostly required content writing (including writing client blogs), social media posting, scheduling and branding. 3 months later, I received the Apprentice Star Award and was advanced to paid social media advertiser.

Paid social media advertisement consisted of campaign creation. This involved building social media campaigns, designing the creative (graphic design), strategic targeting, campaign optimisation and data reporting to evaluate the advert results (analytics).

Note that when I joined the company, it was LocalWorld. However, during my time here, there was a takeover by Trinity Mirror (Reach plc), which it is now known as. I worked here while conducting my advanced digital marketing apprenticeship which was achieved successfully.

I’m a skilled and qualified marketing specialist with 8 years of experience. During this time I have worked for agencies (Salience & ClearTwo), publishers (The Drum & Reach PLC) and freelance.

Over this time I have managed many marketing campaigns, focusing on marketing content, strategies and tactics. The majority of my campaigns have been through paid media and digital channels such as Meta, LinkedIn and Google. I have also conducted areas of print, guerilla and event marketing as well.

I have held managerial responsibilities in the form of client account management, project management and event management. Additionally, when conducting my sole freelancing work, I manage all client and marketing touchpoints that encompass the account.

I’m currently working at Salience as a Paid Media Strategist. I am responsible for developing and executing Paid Search and Social Media campaign strategies that align with client objectives, driving the best possible results. I also act as the Account Manager for my client portfolio.

In 2017, I began conducting freelance marketing for independent companies and still offer these services today. Some of my clients include; Lawer & Co. Estate Agents, JSO Autobody and WiShout Marketing.

Previously, I was the Event Producer for The Drum Marketing Awards (EMEA) and the Event Floor Manager for The Drum Awards Festival. I was also part of the team on the ground at the Cannes Lions Festival, working on event activations and leading guerilla marketing activities.

I have a First Class Marketing Management bachelor's degree (which includes a year-long ISEP placement based in the San Francisco Bay Area). I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing and Social Media Advertisement for Businesses (QCF). I am Google Ads and Facebook Blueprint certified as well.
