I'm Andrew

I’m the former growth lead at two high-volume PLG businesses: Director of Growth at Wistia, and Head of Growth at Postscript.

I’ve been where you are.

I’ve built and scaled growth teams from scratch, run hundreds of experiments, and made every mistake in the book. I know what "good" looks like, and I know how overwhelming it can feel without mentorship from someone who's done your job.

Provided data strategic leadership for the company wide end-to-end transition to Segment for Marketing audience segmentation, Product Analytics, and various data products. Building trust in data sources and eliminating garbage in, elevating the quality of the output. 

Amplitude SME consulting with Marketing and Product leaders to better understand customer behavior that drives discovery, exploration, activation, adoption, retention, expansion, and championing the products. 

Core projects focus on building strategic alignment on clickstream data collection practices, deep dive analysis to understand customer behavior, product changes, and modeling interaction effects from experimentation.

Rive

Enabled Rive's product-led strategies aka product management of end to end PLG. Team manager of interactive animators to enable new user onboarding, education, and blog features. Responsibilities spanned marketing, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention - everything developing ad campaigns, emails and connecting amplitude for email sequences based on user maturity to feature launches and securing the Series A!

Our focus on user enablement built product champions. Layered in sales-assist methods to build in plans for larger user groups and enterprise-class support.

In this role, my aim was to ensure the current and future users understood the value they can get from Rive:  experience how it is designed to bridge the design-developer hand-off gap, provides an end-to-end solution for truly interactive motion graphics on any platform, all with incredibly small file sizes.

Drove strategies on positioning, messaging, friction points, pricing, email drip campaigns, dormancy detection, re-engagement campaigns and launch sequences. With minimal engineering support, built paths for platform engagement > nurturing and supported customer success with data.

Head of Growth (PLG PM)

Working with a company that has a data-first mentality I have the honor of being their first, and only, analyst leading the product, marketing, and growth (activation, onboarding, expansion, and retention) insights. 

Tenaciously utilizing any low overhead tool and any available data source, bringing together a complete picture of our user’s needs, behaviors, and ecosphere. 

Building metrics and understanding of our team’s Product Led Growth strategies, identified our ‘aha moment’ in the data, improving TTV, and building behavioral cohorts for PQLs. Understanding the user journey, building automated processes to nurture users through the animation process and nudge users who show signs of dormancy.

Primarily used Amplitude and Backend Data.

Usage, user, and Amplitude SME. Developed data models and dashboards for user/usage statistics, engagement patterns, segmentation, cohorts, product launches, user activation patterns, user maturity, user journeys, and behaviors associated with retention, dormancy, and growth. Developed and implemented the company-wide roll out of Amplitude allowing for greater self service of our usage data. Experiments Lab Team member that provided consultation and analysis of company initiatives and experiments. Fostered data driven decisions through timely and actionable insights.

Senior Data Analyst - Product

ZoomInfo

Part of the BI team to provide clean data that guided decision-making. Primary data modeler of user and usage data, working with Amplitude, Pendo, Salesforce, and back end systems all brought together in Snowflake and visualized in Looker.

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Mastering Pain Institute

Translated scientific research into behavioral skills to bio-hack the experience of pain and alter the intensity, agony, and impact of that pain. Pain management skills can increase endogenous opioids, reduce inflammation, reduce fatigue, improve mental fog, and reduce the stigma associated with pain. 

Organized and collaborated with a team of consultants, geeks, and researchers working on pain. As people with pain we bring together personal experience, professional experience, and a hunger to bring the biological science of pain to every person with pain in a user-friendly, engaging, and supportive format called the Mastering Pain Method. 

Intellectual property ownership with co-developer, continues beyond the end date of this specific role.

Authored a workbook full of skills for biohacking chronic pain.

I was the owner of a small business that contracted with mental health providers who wanted to work in private practice, but have the business and billing support of a clinic. During this time I created the Mastering Pain Method to teach bio-hacking strategies to individuals with chronic pain.

Provided transitional leadership and consultation. Lead superuser, trainer, and and EMR database administrator. Will continue to provide as hoc EMR and clinical consultation on an as needed basis.

Leadership for several teams of specialty industry rehab programs, including an intensive outpatient program for chronic pain, brain injury, and routine outpatient care for psychological distress. Managed a range of health care providers and support staff in creating a holistic and comprehensive complex injury rehabilitation program. Served as project lead, lead trainer, and superuser on EMR a rollout.

From insight discovery to strategy implementation I have experience and skills to build product growth engines that are focused on user experience and value received. I am skilled at using data from various sources to guide strategy and experimentation for every stage of the user journey: from awareness and acquisition to onboarding, nurturing, adoption, paid conversion, retention, renewal, and expansion. Actionable insights come from understanding the importance of each of these engagement steps and how they create a holistic picture of product success.

I thrive on exploring and developing a rich understanding of product-related behaviors. I bring my innate curiosity and extensive background in science, psychology, experiment design, analytics, statistics, and business to every project. In my experience organizations want to know what users are doing with their product and how these behaviors relate to retention and revenue. This is my zone; it is the value I love to provide.

Every day, I still get excited to take all the math and science foundations from my doctorate and put that to work in making businesses grow.
