I have started something new to ensure I fill my cup and soul every weekend.

Sundays are officially work free. 

The thing with work, there will always be something to do. But I have come to find out I am no good to our clients, my company, family or myself if I haven't filled my cup.

So yesterday I went into the mountains and it was everything I needed.

Our goal as a family is to move into the mountains sooner than later and I personally have fallen in love with a lovely little mountain community in Trust, NC. And that's where I went yesterday. To the Trust General Store. When we pulled up snow flurries started coming and it was just the absolute perfect moment. 

I also know we will make it happen.

For all those who are utilizing Google Business Profile reviews, this is something you should know.

If your profile all of the sudden goes from a few reviews to 50+, that signals to Google that something is up. Google does not like hacks, tricks or shortcuts. 

Google expects authenticity. (Which there is some irony there but I digress.)

Here are two things to keep in mind:

1. Consistency helps. Google pays attention to reviews from the past 90 days.
So anything over a year old, they aren't doing the job you might think. A good strategy is to aim for at least one new one within every 90 days.

2. Specificity helps a lot. When asking for reviews, you can let your audience know that details are helpful. You can't tell them what to write but you can give an example such as asking them to explain their experience with you or to talk about specific services you offer. Specific keywords really help you rank higher. And if they can add a photo, the better.

Pro tip: make it incredibly easy for people to leave you a review.
