Look at this. To the average person this seems like a normal video that got very popular.

But behind the scenes it’s been designed to do a very important thing. It positions Jenni on par with ChatGPT and music.

A tool so popular it didn’t even need to be explained what it is.

This video is designed to make people feel like everyone else knows about it except them. 

Especially in that target audience no one wants the feeling of missing out.

A lot of them will go and Google it. They’ve been influenced without even realizing it.

Someone said that a $10–15k/month product is a hobby and not a business.

Let’s forget for a second that this is more than the average salary of most people.

For many solo founders the goal isn’t to make as much money as possible.

It’s to feel free and build a life they don’t need a vacation from.

A while ago I wrote about wanting a tool to manage my comments without having to open X and LinkedIn and getting sucked into the feed.

Buffer saw my post and reached out to me asking questions. Then they built it and gave me access to try it. Today they’re launching it to everyone.

I think this is a great example of how actually listening to your ideal customers can get you not only more sales but also free word of mouth.

My marketing predictions for 2026:

- People will start to realize that AEO, GEO or whatever you want to call it is something they can measure but not really influence besides traditional search fundamentals and building a brand real people talk about

- In an attempt to make up for all the lost search clicks most brands will double down on hiring in-house creators who can demonstrate the ability to produce original content that gets attention online

- As distribution channels shrink and acquiring new customers profitably becomes harder we’ll see more acquisitions of emerging bootstrapped players by bigger funded brands as a growth tactic

There’s a growing number of people copying my content. I know because I get tagged in the comments.

So I tried something different and sent some of them a message asking why they did it.

I got basically three answers:

“Oh it wasn’t me it was my ghostwriter”

“My AI tool made me do it”

“But everyone copies everything all the time”

Even assuming that’s true (which I’m not sure) I honestly can’t decide which one is the worst.

Social media is becoming 100% about followers, business and money. I kinda miss the old days when it was that but also more than that.

Today a lawyer told me that if you’re based in Italy and want to do a giveaway you need to notify the Italian department of the Treasury, post a surety bond, have a data server physically located in Italy, file the terms and conditions with the authorities, call a notary or the Chamber of commerce to certify the winner, submit an official closing report and a few other things 🤌

I promise you don’t have to be a 20-something who just dropped out of college to build something online. This is a limiting belief that a lot of people still have and that I really want to see disappear. I hope to see more and more older folks who hate their job and feel trapped start something on the side and be successful.

Being a marketer fucked up my mind. Every time I see something interesting I start thinking how I’d turn it into content. It’s a curse.

I took a look at the social media profiles of the founders of the top 15 startups with more revenue on this chart and 80% of them have less than 10k followers. I don’t want to draw any conclusion from this but it’s interesting because it goes against the common narrative that you need a huge following to be successful.

I'm trying the 2-hour of deep work thing and I have to say that it's skyrocketing my productivity. I put my phone on airplane mode, lock myself in a small room and close the door. I'm so used to multitasking that I didn't realize how much it was holding me back.

Tonight I’m working on day 11 of my marketing challenge.

One person who tested it mentioned that they had signed up for a few accelerators but had never taken action like this.

Another one said it made them realize they needed to pivot the product.

Someone got their first (free) user.

In general everyone agrees that it’s tougher than what they expected.

I’ll try my best to finish and ship it by the end of the month.
