Cumin Co. didn’t come to us as a small experiment. It came as a serious, research-driven brand built by two ISB graduates Niharika Joshi & Udit Lekhi, who were obsessed about one thing.

Making Indian kitchens healthier and safer.

If the product is built on honesty, the brand should look like it. 

Every design decision, from typography to hierarchy to packaging clarity, had to communicate trust, safety and modern Indian sophistication without feeling loud or over-engineered.

Strategic Design Solutions for FMCG Brands | Branding & Packaging Design

Three years ago, I quit my job thinking freelancing would give me freedom. 

No boss
No fixed hours
Just me, my laptop, and work I genuinely loved.

And at first, it felt perfect. Clients were coming in, projects were flowing in and the calendar stayed full. 
But slowly it shifted. Days turned into 12-hour marathons, weekends disappeared, and everything depended on me.

I was making decent money… but living less.
Then one night, after another 2 a.m. delivery, it hit me: I hadn’t escaped the 9–5, I had built an even harder version of it.

Around that time, my business coach recommended me - 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰.

I picked it up expecting a sales manual.
But page by page, it started feeling like it was written about me.

A creative founder stuck in a cycle of “success” that didn’t feel successful. A studio that looked great from the outside but was held together by one overworked person on the inside.

Clients? Plenty.
Projects? Nonstop.
Freedom? Nowhere.

That book didn’t give me motivation, it gave me clarity. 

Within months, I hired my first full-time employee.
I started building systems.
I stopped saying yes to everything.
And slowly, what began as freelancing turned into the early foundation of what is now Studio Six F
