So in 2023 I decided to learn how AI systems actually work.
I built something from scratch.

Morning Byte was my GTM lab, a daily AI-driven engine I created to turn complex market insights into structured outputs. It generated revenue. We had a podcast. That’s where I learned to think within LLM systems and how early adopters were leveraging this early. 

What are they keys?
Structure knowledge.
Automate intent.
Design consistent leverage.

But, then I paused it.
I wanted to test those skills in the real world.
So I went to a traditional industry that wasn't tech savvy.

What I found wasn’t a sales problem.
It was a systems problem. It blew my mind and I knew exactly how leading revenue teams organized the back end.

So I built.

Salesforce architecture.
Cross-team workflows.
Post-sales automation.

Not because I’m an engineer.

Because I understood the customer journey.
Because I could hear the friction.
Because I knew what reps actually needed to get verbal commits, and close more deals.

And it taught me something. It made me realize that we're in a time where system and process is functionally buildable and accessible, but the quality of the outcome is directly related to the intention of the builder. 

AI reduces the cost of access to knowledge work.
It does not reduce the cost of thinking.

It lowers the barrier to building.
It compresses execution.

But it does not reduce the cost of intention, clarity, or character.

That’s the part most sellers are missing.

You speak to customers daily.
You hear objections.
You see edge cases.
You understand nuance that technical teams don’t always see firsthand.

If you can translate that into system design, by golly you got leverage.

Not just communication.
Not just closing.
True system definition.

Can you clearly define:
• the outcome
• the context
• the states
• the edge cases
• what “done” actually means

Freelance Legal Consultant

• Conduct comprehensive legal reviews for a staffing agency's public privacy notices and internal policies to ensure compliance with GDPR, PIPEDA, and US privacy laws, especially CCPA.
• Analyze and review Data Privacy and Data Protection Addenda in client and third-party contracts to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to legal standards.

•	Developed and implemented global corporate policies ensuring compliance with data protection laws (CCPA, GDPR), AI regulations, cybersecurity, and data governance standards, regularly briefing top executives on key legal and regulatory considerations.
•	Served as the primary legal team member for cyber incident response, overseeing analysis, remediation, and regulatory reporting. Coordinated with external counsel and third-party security vendors as needed.
•	Developed and managed privacy and cybersecurity training, education, and awareness for FactSet employees.
•	Supported the Cyber Security and Technology engineering teams to provide legal guidance on security and privacy-by-design matters and topics. 
•	Reviewed Generative AI use cases for any legal or regulatory conflicts relating to third party data, client data, cybersecurity, personal data or intellectual property (IP) concerns. Contributed to the development, drafting, and updating of FactSet's internal Generative AI Use policy. 
•	Drafted, advised, and negotiated in coordination with FactSet's transactional team with supplier and client data protection addenda dealing with data use and sharing, AI, licenses, and Business-to-Business (B2B) SaaS contracts. Revised and updated FactSet’s information security addenda for clients and third-party vendors. 
•	Developed FactSet’s policy and procedure workflow for implementing the SEC’s 2023 Cyber Security Incident Disclosure rules and the EU’s Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA).

•	Provided regulatory, legal technology and process expertise to Fortune 500 Clients for the implementation of modern legal and compliance practices for both banking, cyber security and privacy laws, contract and vendor management and others.
•	Developed a target-state operating model, governance framework and implementation roadmap for a large bank’s Third-Party Risk Management program. Managed the assessment and audit of a large telecom’s Records and Information Management (RIM) program.
•	Drafted statements of work for future engagements including cyber security, data protection and privacy clauses consistent with GDPR and CPRA/CCPA.

•	Supported the creation and maintenance of internal data policy frameworks, such as data use case templates, terms and conditions, privacy notices and assessments.
•	Drafted memoranda for a wide variety of internal audiences and stakeholders about issues relating to privacy and data compliance. 
•	Coordinated with global stakeholders in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas to implement the adoption of new client data use permissibility contract language for EY’s four lines of business.

•	Providing subject-matter expertise on global Privacy law frameworks, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
•	Supporting the implementation of SiriusXM’s CCPA compliance program and the standing-up of a fledgling Privacy Office by drafting and creating policies, organizational structures, training and awareness materials. 
•	Utilizing the OneTrust application to implement and draft required consumer-facing compliance initiatives such data subject rights requests, vendor risk management, data flows, and privacy policies.

•	Identify privacy and data protection risks to sensitive FDIC information systems containing sensitive financial information and personal data from all over the world. 
•	Draft and edit Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and other legally required privacy or cyber security documentation. 
•	Coordinate data breach response, risk of harm assessments, and mitigation strategies as necessary with stakeholders.

My core competencies include data compliance and governance, policy development and implementation, risk management and mitigation, and cybersecurity incident response and remediation.

Most recently, I was the Senior Privacy and Cybersecurity Counsel at FactSet, a leading provider of financial data and analytics. There, I established comprehensive global corporate policies to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity standards across different jurisdictions and frameworks. I also participated on the Incident Response team, developed and managed privacy and cybersecurity training and education, and monitored proposed legislation and legal developments. I am passionate about providing innovative and effective legal and policy solutions to complex data challenges and advancing the ethical and responsible use of data and technology.
