As Content Manager of Mums in Cyprus - the leading network for families living in Cyprus - I directed MiC's Social Media Platforms and Website. 

I gained a wealth of experience in social media and website content creation and management. 

I crafted original written and visual content for our advertising clients, newsletters, and online magazine. This included promotional copy, blog posts, interviews, reviews, parenting articles, How-Tos, and other informative articles. 

I also created all social media content (both written and visual) and was responsible for managing its scheduling over multiple platforms. 

During my three years as Content Manager at MiC, there was a five-fold increase in audience and a large increase in audience reach and engagement across all platforms. 

I successfully co-negotiated and managed a number of advertising contracts from conception to finish.

The role also involved organising, promoting, and managing annual events, community outreach, and networking with other community groups, relevant service providers, local NGOs, and paid clients.

I worked on a number of different projects, including: a large Randomised Control Trial (RCT) concerning the prevention of smoking in school children; qualitative and quantitative research on the sexual health needs of vulnerable young people and qualitative interviews amongst homeless male Injecting Drug Users.
I gained experience in: undertaking literature searches; successful procurement of funding for original proposals and bio-ethics approval; academic writing; recruiting and engaging hard-to-reach vulnerable groups; and interviewing a range of people about sensitive topics (such as sexual behaviours and contraceptive use, drug use, acute mental health issues and sexual abuse). Involvement in this research also gave me experience in the social policy sector and entailed liaising with local agencies and maintaining good working relationships with their keyworkers and clients.
